Gabriel Hjertstedt
Gabriel Hjertstedt (born 5 December 1971) is a Swedish professional golfer. Hjertstedt was born in Umeå, Sweden. His family relocated to Australia when he was eleven and he learned to play golf there. He turned professional in 1990 and spent time on the PGA Tour of Australasia and the Japan Golf Tour. He played on the European Tour from 1993 to 1996, where his best results were a pair of second places in 1994. In his 1997 rookie year on the U.S.-based PGA Tour he won the B.C. Open the same week that Europe won that year's Ryder Cup, to become the first Swede to win on the PGA Tour. He followed up in 1999 by claiming his second PGA Tour title at the Touchstone Energy Tucson Open. He represented Sweden in the Dunhill Cup in 1994 and 1999. Brett Ogle
Brett James Ogle (born 14 July 1964) is an Australian professional golfer. Early life Ogle was born in Paddington, New South Wales, adopted at 6 weeks of age and was brought up in the town of Goulburn. He was a successful hockey player in his early years representing Southern Zone. He was also a State Champion sprinter at 200m and table tennis player, winning the NSW Schoolboys doubles title in 1978. He took up the game of golf not long after and reduced his golfing handicap from 32 to 1 in just two years. He was the Senior and Junior Club Champion at his home club in Goulburn, Tully Park. His first big break through was the Senior and Junior Club Champion of Champions event at the Federal Golf Club in 1980, a tournament that pitted all of the NSW Club Champions together. The 1992 European Tour, titled as the 1992 Volvo Tour for sponsorship reasons, was the 21st official season of golf tournaments known as the PGA European Tour. The European Tour ventured to East Asia for the first time, with the addition of the Johnnie Walker Asian Classic in Thailand to the tour schedule. The season was made up of 38 tournaments counting for the Order of Merit, and five non-counting "Approved Special Events". The Order of Merit was won by England's Nick Faldo for the second time; he previously won the title in 1983. Paul McGinley
Paul Noel McGinley (born 16 December 1966) is an Irish professional golfer who has won four events on the European Tour. At the 2002 Ryder Cup, he famously holed a ten-foot putt on the 18th hole in his match against Jim Furyk at The Belfry which won the Ryder Cup for Europe. He was the winning captain of Europe in the 2014 Ryder Cup and the first Irishman to captain Europe's Ryder Cup side. Barry Lane
Barry Douglas Lane (21 June 1960 – 31 December 2022) was an English professional golfer. He won five official European Tour events between 1988 and 2004. He played in the 1993 Ryder Cup and won the inaugural Andersen Consulting World Championship of Golf in late 1995. After reaching 50 he had considerable success on the European Senior Tour, winning eight times between 2010 and 2019. Early life Lane was born in Hayes, Middlesex but grew up in Bracknell. He only took up golf at the age of 14 but became an assistant professional at nearby Downshire Golf Club in 1976, at the age of 16. He was an assistant at Downshire for 8 years. Professional career Lane first played on the European Tour in 1982, after three failed attempts at Q-School. Karl Sven Joakim Haeggman (born 28 August 1969) is a Swedish professional golfer who formerly played on the European Tour. He was the first Swede to play in the Ryder Cup. Early life Haeggman was born in Kalmar on the east coast of the province of Småland in Sweden. He grew up close to the golf course at Kalmar Golf Club and learned the game without golf playing parents. The season was made up of 38 tournaments counting for the Order of Merit, and five non-counting "Approved Special Events". Pedro Linhart
Pedro Linhart (born 30 December 1962) is a Spanish professional golfer. Linhart was born Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain to American parents, and took up Spanish citizenship in the 1980s. He turned professional in 1982, and after a failed visit to European Tour qualifying school in 1986 he spent time working as an assistant pro in New Jersey and playing on the mini-tour circuit in the United States. Linhart won a European Tour card at his second attempt and was a rookie on the tour in 1994. In 1995 he won the Canarias Challenge, a Challenge Tour event, on the islands of his birth. In 1999 he won the Madeira Island Open on the main European tour, but he suffered a wrist injury in 2000 and was unable to build on this success.
