Ons Jabeur
Ons Jabeur ( ar, أُنْس جَابِر, ʾUns Jābir, ; born 28 August 1994) is a Tunisian professional tennis player. She has a career high Women's Tennis Association (WTA) ranking of world No. 2 achieved on 27 June 2022. Jabeur is the current No. 1 Tunisian player, and the highest-ranked African and Arab tennis player in WTA and ATP rankings, ATP rankings history. She has won three singles titles on the WTA Tour, as well as eleven singles titles and one doubles title on the ITF Women's World Tennis Tour, ITF Women's Circuit. She is the first and only muslim and arab player, male or female, to reach a grand slam finals in singles at both 2022 Wimbledon and 2022 US Open. 2021 French Open
The 2021 French Open was a major level tennis tournament played on outdoor clay courts. It was held at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris, France, from 30 May to 13 June 2021, comprising singles, doubles and mixed doubles play. The qualifiers took place from 24 May to 28 May. Pan Arab Games
The Arab Games ( ar, الألعاب العربية), also called the Pan Arab Games, are a regional multi-sport event held between nations from the Arab world. They are organized by the Union of Arab National Olympic Committees. The first Games took place in 1953 in Alexandria, Egypt. Intended to be held every four years since, political turmoil as well as financial difficulties have made the event an unstable one. Women first competed in 1985. Arab Woman Of The Year Award
The Arab Women of the Year Awards were created in 2015 and are organized by the ''London Arabia Organisation'' with support from the Mayor of London, Regent's University London and The Bicester Village Shopping Collection corporate partners. ATP Rankings
The Pepperstone ATP rankings are the merit-based method used by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for determining the qualification for entry as well as the seeding of players in all singles and doubles tournaments. The first rankings for singles were published on 23 August 1973 while the doubles players were ranked for the first time on 1 March 1976. Ranking points are awarded according to the stage of tournament reached, and the prestige of the tournament, with the four Grand Slam tournaments awarding the most points. Tennis is a racket sport that is played either individually against a single opponent ( singles) or between two teams of two players each ( doubles).
