Onofre Lovero
''Onofre'' is a genus of Brazilian Salticidae, jumping spiders that was first described by G. R. S. Ruiz & Antônio Brescovit, Antônio Domingos Brescovit in 2007. it contains only three species, found in the Amazon basin of Brazil: ''Onofre carnifex, O. carnifex'', ''Onofre necator, O. necator'', and ''Onofre sibilans, O. sibilans''. They are related to members of ''Chira (spider), Chira'', and the three species were described from the states of Mato Grosso and Pará. The generic name is a common man's name in Brazil. References

Antônio Domingos Brescovit (born 1959) is a Brazilian arachnologist. His first name, Antônio (the spelling used in Brazil) may also be spelt António (the spelling used in Portugal).
