''One of Many Nights'' is the eighth studio album by the S.O.S. Band. The band's final album, it was released by Tabu Records in 1991. It includes the songs "Are You Ready", "Get Hyped on This" and "Someone I Can Love". The single, "Sometimes I Wonder", peaked at No. 12 on the ''Billboard'' Hot R&B Singles chart. Production ''One of Many Nights'' was produced by Curtis Williams. It contains the first recorded appearances of the rapper Kurupt, before he signed a recording contract with Death Row Records. The album cover art was created by A&M Records co-founder Herb Alpert. Critical reception ''The Indianapolis Star'' called the album "a major disappointment," writing that "many of the 10 tracks suffer from rhythmic sameness, as if the writers and producers are locked on a particular beat." Ricardo Emmanuel Brown (born November 23, 1972), better known by his stage name Kurupt, is an American rapper and record producer who aided gangsta rap's rise via 1990s verses helping set lasting trends. He is one half of the rap duo Tha Dogg Pound, along with Daz Dillinger. His first solo album arrived in 1998. After feuding, the duo reunited in 2005. Klymaxx is an American all-female pop/ R&B band from Los Angeles, California. The band's classic lineup consisted of Bernadette Cooper, Lorena Porter Shelby, Cheryl Cooley, Robbin Grider, Lynn Malsby, and Joyce "Fenderella" Irby. Tony Haynes is an American lyricist, songwriter, poet, music publisher, producer and author. Over the last four decades he has written lyrics to melodies composed by the biggest names in R&B and pop music. He has also authored children's books and produced children's music based on some of the most successful animated characters. Chandra Currelley-Young (born August 30, 1961) is an American actress and singer. Currelley has done extensive work with director and writer Tyler Perry, and has played many roles in his various productions and several stage plays. Herb Alpert (born March 31, 1935) is an American trumpeter who led the band Herb Alpert & the Tijuana Brass in the 1960s. During the same decade, he co-founded A&M Records with Jerry Moss. Alpert has recorded 28 albums that have landed on the ''Billboard'' 200 chart, five of which became No. 1 albums; he has had 14 platinum albums and 15 gold albums. Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century.
