One Rathbone Square is a commercial building in London, and the UK headquarters of Facebook. History Rathbone Square is a development in central London. The site was bought from Royal Mail Group for £120m in September 2011; it was the former West End Delivery Office. Design Planning consent was granted from Westminster City Council in February 2014. The main architect for the site was Graham Longman; Make Architects were given the project in October 2011. Construction Construction began in July 2014, with demolition of the former seven-storey site. Main construction began in 2015. Structure It is situated off Oxford Street, in the east of the City of Westminster, and is on the boundary with the London Borough of Camden. Fitzrovia () is a district of central London, England, near the West End. The eastern part of area is in the London Borough of Camden, and the western in the City of Westminster. It has its roots in the Manor of Tottenham Court, and was urbanised in the 18th century. Its name was coined in the late 1930s by Tom Driberg. It is characterised by its mixed-use of residential, business, retail, education and healthcare, with no single activity dominating. Principal Place is an office development at the eastern end of Worship Street, Shoreditch, London. The main entrance is approached from Shoreditch High Street. It is a 15-storey office block designed by Foster and Partners. In July 2014, it was reported that the internet retailer Amazon.com was close to signing a lease to move its UK headquarters there. The project had been on hold since January 2012, when the anchor tenant, the law firm CMS Cameron McKenna, pulled out. Soon after, the developer Hammerson sold its interest in the scheme to Brookfield. Alongside it, there is a 50-storey residential tower called Principal Tower. A10 Road (England)
The A10 (in certain sections known as ''Great Cambridge Road'' or Old North Road) is a major road in England. Its southern end is at London Bridge in the London Borough of Southwark, and its northern end is the Norfolk port town of King's Lynn. From London to Royston it chiefly follows the line of Roman Ermine Street. The main route to Cambridge is now via the M11 motorway, however non-motorway traffic still uses the A10. Route Within the City of London, the route of the A10 comprises King William Street, Gracechurch Street, Bishopsgate and Norton Folgate. It then becomes Shoreditch High Street, Kingsland Road, Kingsland High Street and Stoke Newington Road. Bishopsgate was one of the eastern gates in London's former defensive wall. The gate gave its name to the Bishopsgate Ward of the City of London. The ward is traditionally divided into ''Bishopsgate Within'', inside the line wall, and ''Bishopsgate Without'' beyond it. ''Bishopsgate Without'' is described as part of London's East End. The ancient boundaries of the City wards were reviewed in 1994 and 2013, so that the wards no longer correspond very closely to their historic extents.
