One Plum Blossom
''One Plum Blossom'' () is a 1984 TV series shown on Taiwan's China Television, starring Shen Hai-jung () and Kou Shih-hsiun () and set in 1930s China. It aired 25 episode from December 17, 1984, to January 18, 1985, every Monday to Friday evening at 8.00 pm. Two remakes of the drama have been made: ''Grief Over QingHe River'' (2000) starring Jiang Qinqin ( zh, c=蒋勤勤, labels=no) and Vincent Zhao, and ''New One Plum Blossom'' (2009) starring Lu Yi and Wallace Huo. Theme The theme song, Yi jian mei, was sung by Taiwanese singer Fei Yu-ching. Plot The fiery Shen Xin Ci runs away from her psychopathic fiancé, Liang Yong Chang, after finding out the truth. On the way she meets Zhao Shi Jun, who sympathizes with her and gives her some money to pay off her father's medical bills. After the death of her father, Xin Ci decides to find Shi Jun and repay his kindness, no matter the request. China Television
China Television Company, Ltd. (CTV; ) (Formerly called Taiwan Daytime TV (TDT) in 1969-1975) is a television broadcasting company based in Taipei, Taiwan. It was established on September 3, 1968, by the then-ruling Nationalist Party (KMT) of the Republic of China. The party owned the majority stake of the network. Trial broadcast started on October 9, 1969, and the channel formally started broadcasting on October 31 the same year. It was the first television channel to broadcast full colour television service to the whole island. On August 9, 1999, the channel was publicly listed on Taiwan Stock Exchange, becoming the first publicly listed broadcasting company on the island. Vincent Zhao
Vincent Zhao Wenzhuo (born 10 April 1972), sometimes credited as Vincent Chiu or Chiu Man-cheuk, is a Chinese actor and martial artist. Zhao is best known for playing the Chinese folk hero Wong Fei-hung in the ''Once Upon a Time in China'' film and television series and for his films '' The Blade'', ''True Legend '' and ''God of War''. Early life Zhao was born in Harbin, Heilongjiang, China the youngest of three boys. His father was a martial arts practitioner, and his mother was a professional sprinter, who broke the record for being the fastest female sprinter of Harbin. Under the instruction of his father, Zhao attended martial arts lessons at the age of eight but he never completely devoted himself to his lessons as he was more interested in singing. Wallace Huo Chien-hwa (, born 26 December 1979) is a Taiwanese actor, singer and producer. ''A Spray of Plum Blossoms'' () is a 1931 silent Chinese film directed by Bu Wancang and starring Ruan Lingyu, Wang Cilong, Lim Cho Cho, and Jin Yan. It is a loose adaptation of William Shakespeare's ''The Two Gentlemen of Verona''. The film is one of several collaborations between Bu Wancang and two of the top Chinese movie stars of the day Ruan Lingyu and the Korean-born Jin Yan and was produced by the Lianhua Film Company. The film is noted for its attempted "Westernized stylings" including its surreal use of decor, as well as women-soldiers with long hair.
