One Perfect Day (2013 Film)
''One Perfect Day'' (; lit. ''Rock, Paper, Scissors of Love'') is a 2013 South Korean short film directed by Kim Jee-woon, his first in the romantic comedy genre. Upon meeting the girl of his dreams (Park Shin-hye), a loser in love (Yoon Kye-sang) asks her to play Rock-paper-scissors with him. The 35-minute short film first premiered on April 29, 2013, at a showcase in Times Square in Seoul's Yeongdeungpo District, and was then released online on April 30 on the website of outdoor clothing brand Kolon Sport, as well as portal sites Daum and YouTube. ''One Perfect Day'' was the second short film after Park Chan-wook's ''Day Trip'' to be commissioned and funded by Kolon Sport for its "Way to Nature Film Project," which marks the company's 40th anniversary. Kim Jee-woon
Kim Jee-woon (; born July 6, 1964) is a South Korean film director and screenwriter. Career Kim started out directing theater but has worked with increasing levels of success in cinema, showing accomplished acting and a detailed stylization in his films. Kim also pays careful attention to the release of his films on DVD and goes to greater than usual lengths to package them with extensive documentary materials and revealing commentary tracks. Kim is growing substantially both as a director and a visual stylist as demonstrated by two of his most recent films ''A Tale of Two Sisters'' and ''A Bittersweet Life'' both of which were received as critical and commercial successes. ''Day Trip'' () is a 2012 South Korean short film co-directed by Park Chan-wook and Park Chan-kyong. The film features a pansori master (Song Kang-ho) and his student (Jeon Hyo-jung). The 18-minute short was released online on December 28, 2012 on the website of outdoor clothing brand Kolon Sport, and was funded by the company to mark its 40th anniversary. This is the second project by the duo dubbed collectively as "PARKing CHANce," composed of film director Park Chan-wook and his brother Park Chan-kyong, who is known for his installation art, photography and experimental films.
