One-X
''One-X'' is the second studio album by Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. It was produced by Howard Benson and is the band's first album recorded as a four-piece band, as Barry Stock joined the group and took over lead guitar from lead singer Adam Gontier. It is their first and only album under Sony BMG, the successor to Sony Music Entertainment's original roots and Bertelsmann Music Group. The Sony BMG joint venture was dropped in 2008, which led to Bertelsmann's Sony BMG stake going back to Sony. ''One-X'' was released on June 13, 2006. The album was both a critical and financial success, being certified silver in the United Kingdom and triple-platinum in both the U.S. and Canada. Three Days Grace
Three Days Grace is a Canadian Rock music, rock band formed in Norwood, Ontario in 1992 originally as "Groundswell" and played in various local Norwood backyard parties and area establishments before disbanding in 1995 and regrouping in 1997. Based in Toronto, the band's original line-up consisted of guitarist and lead vocalist Adam Gontier, drummer and backing vocalist Neil Sanderson, and bassist Brad Walst. In 2003, Barry Stock was recruited as the band's lead guitarist, making them a quartet. In 2013, Gontier left the band and was replaced by My Darkest Days' vocalist Matt Walst, the younger brother of Brad Walst. "Riot" is the fourth and final single from the album ''One-X'' by Three Days Grace. It peaked at number 65 in Canada, and number 12 and 21 on the US Mainstream Rock and Modern Rock charts respectively. To date, this is the band's only single to miss the top ten on the former chart. Despite this, the single was certified Platinum in both Canada and the United States respectively. Background The song is about protesting against the negative things in life and was inspired by vocalist Adam Gontier's anger when he was in rehab for OxyContin addiction. ''Life Starts Now'' is the third studio album by the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. The album was released on September 22, 2009. It was produced by Howard Benson. Adam Wade Gontier (born May 25, 1978) is a Canadian singer and guitarist. He is the lead singer, rhythm guitarist and main songwriter for Saint Asonia, but is best known as the former lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and founding member of the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. Gontier left Three Days Grace on January 9, 2013. In addition to his work with Three Days Grace and Saint Asonia, he has been involved in collaborations with other bands including Art of Dying, Apocalyptica and Breaking Benjamin. Barry Stock (born April 24, 1974) is the lead guitarist of the Canadian rock band Three Days Grace. Biography Stock joined Three Days Grace in 2003, shortly after the band's self-titled debut studio album was released. Stock's addition in Three Days Grace made the band a four-piece. Stock uses Schecter, Ibanez and PRS guitars, but prefers an Ibanez SZ320. He has also been seen using an Ibanez SZ4020FM Prestige. Since the discontinuation of the SZ series in 2008, Stock has started to use other guitars in the Ibanez line such as the ART series and Darkstone series. He uses Marshall Amplification and various effect pedals, mostly by Digitech. On the Live at the Palace DVD he revealed he uses Diezel Vh4 Amplifiers.
