Olle Tandberg
Olof Peder "Olle" Tandberg (10 October 1918 – 26 December 1996) was a Swedish heavyweight boxer. He was the European amateur boxing champion between 1937 and 1939. Biography Tandberg was born in Stockholm, Sweden on 10 October 1918. He represented Djurgårdens IF. During his career he had 30 fights, winning 23 (11 by KO), losing 6 (1 by KO), and drawing 1. He fought in the 1936 Berlin Olympics where he defeated US boxer Art Oliver. He lost in the second round of competition to Hungarian Ferenc Nagy. On 14 August 1949 he lost to Jersey Joe Walcott Arnold Raymond Cream (January 31, 1914 – February 25, 1994), best known as Jersey Joe Walcott, was an American professional boxer who competed from 1930 to 1953. He held the NYSAC, NBA, and ''The Ring'' heavyweight titles from 1951 to 1952 ... on TKO in the 5th round. He died in Stockholm on 26 December 1996. Jersey Joe Walcott
Arnold Raymond Cream (January 31, 1914 – February 25, 1994), best known as Jersey Joe Walcott, was an American professional boxer who competed from 1930 to 1953. He held the NYSAC, NBA, and ''The Ring'' heavyweight titles from 1951 to 1952, and broke the record for the oldest man to win the title, at the age of 37. That record would eventually be broken in 1994 by 45-year-old George Foreman. Despite holding the world heavyweight title for a relatively short period of time, Walcott was regarded among the best heavyweights in the world during the 1940s and 1950s. After retiring from boxing, Walcott did some acting, playing small parts in a few movies and television shows. He also refereed several boxing matches, but after the controversial ending to the second fight between Muhammad Ali and Sonny Liston, Walcott was not asked to referee again. Ferenc Nagy (boxer)
Ferenc Nagy (27 October 1916 – 11 May 1977) was a Hungarian boxer who competed in the 1936 Summer Olympics. He was born in Cegléd. In 1936 he finished fourth in the heavyweight class. After his win in the quarterfinals against Olle Tandberg he was neither able to fight in the semifinal bout to Herbert Runge Herbert Runge (23 January 1913 – 11 March 1986) was a German heavyweight boxer. He won the gold medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. He was born in Elberfeld, which later became part of Wuppertal, where he died as well.
