Danielle Agami
Danielle Agami (born 1984) is an Israeli-born dancer and choreographer. She is a teacher of the Gaga style of dance, invented by the director of the Batsheva Dance Company, Ohad Naharin. In Israel, Agami danced with the Batsheva Dance Company from 2002 to 2010. From 2008 to 2010, she was the company's rehearsal director. In 2011, Agami moved to New York and became the executive producer of Gaga USA. That year, she taught Gaga dance at CalArts at the request of Ohad Naharin. She then moved to Seattle, where she was given a residency from the Cornish College of the Arts for the Velocity Art Center. In June 2012, Agami founded the dance troupe Ate9 in Seattle. After a year, she moved the troupe to Los Angeles. She created a work titled "This Time Tomorrow" for Northwest Dance Project in 2013. Larry Keigwin
Larry Keigwin an American choreographer and the artistic director of KEIGWIN + COMPANY. Life and career Keigwin was raised in Wading River on Long Island with three brothers, one of them his twin. Though his brothers were “very jocky,” he chose instead to pursue gymnastics, join a circus training program, and perform in school musicals. Keigwin auditioned for and performed in a number of “Club MTV” episodes before attending Hofstra University to study dance. Following graduation in 1994, he danced with artists including Penny Arcade, Robin Becker, David Roussève, Varla Jean MermanZvi Gotheiner John Jasperse, Jane Comfort, Julie Taymor, Doug Elkins, Doug Varone, and Mark Dendy. It was this last artist, Dendy, who invited Keigwin to choreograph and perform a solo (what eventually became “Mattress Suite”) as part of Dendy's own program at the Joyce Theater. Annabelle Lopez Ochoa
Annabelle Lopez Ochoa (born 30 April 1973) is a Belgian-born international choreographer based out of Amsterdam, Netherlands. Dance background Ochoa, who is half-Colombian and half-Belgian, completed her dance training at the Royal Ballet Academy in Antwerp, Belgium. She appeared with various German companies before eventually joining Djazzex, a contemporary dance company, in 1993. In 1997, she joined Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, where she was a soloist for seven years. . Choreographic style Overall, Ochoa's work relates emotional experience through an abstract but intently connected style of choreography, which occasionally relies on virtuosic technique. Ihsan Rustem
Ihsan Rustem is a British choreographer living in Switzerland Early career Ihsan Rustem was a student at the Thomas Tallis School in his hometown of London before commencing his formal dance training at the Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, becoming a member of the National Youth Dance Company from 1997–1999. The following year, at the age of 17, Rustem was invited by Matthew Bourne to join his Adventures in Motion Pictures for the creation of ‘ The Car Man’. From 2001–2004 he was a soloist with Philip Taylor's Ballett Theater München (Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz) before moving to the Netherlands, where he danced for three seasons as a member of Introdans. Hubbard Street Dance Chicago is a contemporary dance company based in Chicago. Hubbard Street performs in downtown Chicago at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance and at the Edlis Neeson Theater at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago. Hubbard Street also tours nationally and internationally throughout the year. History Hubbard Street Dance Chicago grew out of the Lou Conte Dance Studio, when in 1977 several aspiring young artists approached dance teacher/choreographer Lou Conte to teach tap classes. Dominic Walsh Dance Theater
Dominic Walsh Dance Theater (DWDT) was a contemporary dance company based in Houston Texas, Houston, Texas. Started by artistic director and former principal dancer for the Houston Ballet, Dominic Walsh, DWDT ranged from progressive to classical choreography. Dominic Walsh joined the Houston Ballet in 1989, rising to Principal Dancer in 1996. In 1998, he created Flames of Eros when Ben Stevenson (dancer), Ben Stevenson invited him to choreograph on Houston Ballet. His work won him the Choo San Goh Award for Choreography. In 2002, he formed Dominic Walsh Dance Theater. In 2004, the company received the title of one of the top Dance Magazine's "25 to Watch", "25 to Watch" by Dance Magazine.
