Olivier Tébily (born 19 December 1975) is a former professional association football, footballer who played as a Defender (association football), defender. A French citizen, he won 18 full international cap (sport), caps for his native Ivory Coast national football team, Ivory Coast national team. The 2000 African Cup of Nations was the 22nd edition of the Africa Cup of Nations, the association football championship of Africa ( CAF). It was co-hosted by Ghana and Nigeria, who jointly replaced Zimbabwe as host. Just like in 1998, the field of sixteen teams was split into four groups of four. An own goal, also called a self goal, is where a player performs actions that result in them or their team scoring a goal on themselves, often resulting in a point for the opposing team, such as when a football player kicks a ball into their own net or goal, awarding the other team a point.
