Olivier Karekezi
Fils Olivier Karekezi (; born 25 May 1983) is a Rwandan footballer who currently plays for Swedish side Råå IF in Division 3 Södra Götaland. He is also a former captain of the Rwanda national team. Career Olivier Karekezi grew up in Kigali, where he attended Rugunga primary school. He used to spend most of his time playing football at Ste Famille primary school "SAHARA" sandy playground, where he kick-started his football journey with fellow teens among others "GANGI" Hategekimana Bonaventure. They both joined APR at around the same period of time in 2002, and continued to enjoy the game together at a higher level; that was then well known as 1ère Division. He signed for Helsingborgs IF in 2005, leaving his native club APR FC, and scored five goals in 18 matches during the 2005 season. Östers IF
Östers Idrottsförening, commonly known as Östers IF or simply Öster, is a Swedish sports club located in Växjö, specializing in Association football, football, and playing in the second tier of Swedish football, Superettan. The club has previously also competed in ice hockey (Östers IF (ice hockey), see separate article), bandy, and bowling. Öster was formed on 20 April 1930 as Östers Fotbollförening, before adopting the name "Östers IF" in 1932. The club is affiliated to the Smålands Fotbollförbund. 2001 CECAFA Cup
The 2001 CECAFA Cup was the 25th edition of the football tournament that involves teams from East and Central Africa. The matches were played in Rwanda, who had last hosted the competition two years before, in 1999. All the matches at the tournament were played from 8 December 2001, when Rwanda beat Somalia, until the 22 December 2001, when both the final and third place play-off were hosted. Prior to the tournament, Sudan withdrew their participation, and as such were suspended from all CECAFA tournaments in the future on an indefinite basis. However, the suspension was lifted in time for the 2002 CECAFA Cup. Eleven teams entered the tournament, two more than had competed at the previous edition. Addis Ababa Stadium
Addis Ababa Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It is used mostly for football matches although it also has athletics facilities. The stadium has a capacity of 35,000 people. 2003 CECAFA Cup
The 2003 CECAFA Cup was the 27th edition of the CECAFA Cup, which involves teams from Southern and Central Africa. The matches were played in Sudan, from 30 November to 10 December. Burundi, Djibouti and Somalia withdrew before the draw of the groups for the tournament, complaining of financial difficulties. Just before the tournament, Ethiopia withdrew, and Tanzania also withdrew after the tournament started. Tanzania originally withdrew on the 27 November 2003, after their government did not pay for travel arrangements to Sudan. A day later though, on the 28 November, Tanzanian business magnate Azim Dewji produced cash to pay for airplane tickets, but the connecting flight from Nairobi, Kenya, to Khartoum, Sudan, were all full.
