Oliver Marach
Oliver Marach (born 16 July 1980) is an Austrian professional tennis player who primarily specialises in doubles. He achieved his highest singles ranking of world No. 82 in August 2005, but achieved most of his success in doubles where he reached his career-high doubles ranking of world No. 2 on 28 May 2018. Marach won his first Grand Slam title at the 2018 Australian Open, partnering Mate Pavić, and the pair also finished runners-up at the 2017 Wimbledon Championships and 2018 French Open. He and Pavić were the 2018 ATP Doubles Team of the year. In mixed doubles, he has reached three Grand Slam semifinals. He has represented Austria in the Davis Cup since 2003, and also played at the 2016 Olympic Games alongside Alexander Peya. The 2016 US Open was the 136th edition of tennis' US Open, the fourth and final Grand Slam event of the year. It took place on outdoor hard courts at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City. Croatia's Nikola Mektić and Mate Pavić defeated compatriots Marin Čilić and Ivan Dodig in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 0–6to win the gold medal in Men's Doubles tennis at the 2020 Summer Olympics. Alexander Peya (born 27 June 1980) is an Austrian male tennis player. He reached a career-high singles ranking of world no. 92 in April 2007. His career-high doubles ranking is World No. 3, first achieved in August 2013. In September 2008 Peya helped Austria to a Davis Cup play-off win against Great Britain. Peya beat Alex Bogdanovic in four sets in the deciding rubber of the tie. The Davis Cup is the premier international team event in men's tennis. It is run by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) and is contested annually between teams from competing countries in a knock-out format. Mate Pavić (; born 4 July 1993) is a Croatian professional tennis player who is a former world No. 1 in doubles. He is a five-time Grand Slam champion, having won three titles in men's doubles: the 2018 Australian Open with Oliver Marach, the 2020 US Open with Bruno Soares, and the 2021 Wimbledon Championships with Nikola Mektić. Pavić also won mixed doubles titles at the 2016 US Open with Laura Siegemund, and the 2018 Australian Open with Gabriela Dabrowski.
