Oliver Goldstick
Oliver Goldstick (born January 9, 1961) is an American television screenwriter and executive producer, working on Netflix’s new series Bridgerton. Prior to this, Goldstick launched High School Musical: The Series for Disney + and spent seven years writing, directing, and showrunning the series, Pretty Little Liars. During that time, he also wrote and produced The Collection, an original, limited series set in the sumptuous, postwar world of Paris fashion for BBC Studios, Amazon U.K. and PBS-Masterpiece. His other credits include Ugly Betty, Lipstick Jungle, Desperate Housewives, American Dreams, Everwood, Inconceivable, Popular, Coach, and Plainsong for Hallmark Hall of Fame. Plainsong or plainchant (calque from the French ''plain-chant''; la, cantus planus) is a body of chants used in the liturgies of the Western Church. When referring to the term plainsong, it is those sacred pieces that are composed in Latin text. Plainsong was the exclusive form of Christian church music until the ninth century, and the introduction of polyphony. The monophonic chants of plainsong have a non-metric rhythm. Their rhythms are generally freer than the metered rhythm of later Western music, and they are sung without musical accompaniment. There are three types of chant melodies that plainsongs fall into, syllabic, neumatic, and melismatic. ''Inconceivable'' is an American medical drama television series revolving around a fertility clinic, which was broadcast on NBC. The program premiered on September 23 2005 and ended after seven episodes on November 4, 2005. The series was created by Oliver Goldstick and Marco Pennette. Goldstick and Pennette also served as executive producers as did Brian Robbins and Mike Tollin. The show was a Touchstone Television and Tollin/Robbins production, one of the few shows produced by the former not to air on ABC in recent years. After only two episodes of the series aired, it was pulled from the air in early October due to low ratings, and was cancelled by NBC just a few days later.
