Oldřich Velen
Oldřich Velen, birth name Oldřich Volek (15 September 1921 in Brno-Tuřany – 4 May 2013) was a Czech actor. He is known from the successful television series '' Slovácko sa nesúdí'', after the books by Zdeněk Galuška where he played a major role (figure Jura Klásek) together with the popular actor Slovak Jozef Kroner. He also appeared in 5 episodes of '' Křeček v noční košili'' and 5 episodes of '' Arabela se vrací''. Velen played nearly 300 different film roles. After graduating high school in Brno Conservatory and began playing in theater in České Budějovice, this theater was later by the Nazis forcibly relocated to Tábor. During the Nazi occupation he was also imprisoned in Brno Kounic college, which during World War II served as the main Moravian Brno Gestapo prison. Theatre On The Balustrade
The Theatre on the Balustrade (Divadlo Na zábradlí) is situated in Prague, Czech Republic. The theatre was founded in 1958. Its founders - Helena Philipová, Ivan Vyskočil (1929), Ivan Vyskočil, Jiří Suchý and Vladimír Vodička named their professional theatre after a street leading from the square to the river. Its first production, a musical collage titled ''If a Thousand Clarinets'' (Czech: ''Kdyby tisíc klarinetů''), was premiered on 9 December 1958. Three months later Ladislav Fialka and his mime artist, mime group joined the company with their production ''Pantomime on the Balustrade'', and brought back fame to the almost forgotten theatre genre. Barrandov Studios is a set of film studios in Prague, Czech Republic. It is the largest film studio in the country and one of the largest in Europe.
