Olderfjord
Olderfjord ( sme, Leaibevuotna; fkv, Leipovuono) is a village in Porsanger in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The village lies at the end of Olderfjorden on the eastern coast of the Porsanger Peninsula, along the shore of the Porsangerfjorden. The village sits at the junction of the European route E6 and European route E69 highways, about northwest of the smaller village of Kistrand, where the historic Kistrand Church is located. In terms of its longitude, Olderfjord is located further east than any location in Sweden and just east of Helsinki. European Route E69
European route E69 is an E-road between Olderfjord and North Cape in northern Norway. The road is long. It contains five tunnels, totalling . The longest, the North Cape Tunnel, is long and reaches below sea level. During the winter months is the northernmost part of the road (Skarsvåg-North Cape) available only to convoys, driving at fixed times, if weather permits. E69 is the northernmost road in the world with connections to a major international road network. Roads further north in locations including Svalbard and Greenland are isolated and short. European Route E6
European route E6 ( no, Europavei 6, sv, Europaväg 6, or simply E6) is the main north-south thoroughfare through Norway as well as the west coast of Sweden. It is long and runs from the southern tip of Sweden at Trelleborg, into Norway and through almost all of the country north to the Arctic Circle and Nordkapp. The route ends in Kirkenes close to the Russian border. It is located on the eastern side of the Porsanger Peninsula, along the western shore of the Porsangerfjorden. The polar night is a phenomenon where the nighttime lasts for more than 24 hours that occurs in the northernmost and southernmost regions of Earth. This occurs only inside the polar circles. Kistrand Church
Kistrand Church ( no, Kistrand kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Porsanger Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. It is located in the village of Kistrand. It is the main church for the Porsanger parish which is part of the Indre Finnmark prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Nord-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a long church style in 1856 using plans drawn up by the architect Christian Heinrich Grosch. The church seats about 160 people.
