Olaf Poulsen (Norway)
Olaf Poulsen (27 July 1920 – 27 September 2008) was a Norwegian sports official, best known for serving as the president of the International Skating Union from 1980 to 1994. Born in Kristiania, Poulsen was an active speed skater in his younger days. He represented the club Oslo IL, and eventually became involved in the administration of that club. Ottavio Cinquanta
Ottavio Cinquanta (15 August 1938 – 18 July 2022) was the President of the International Skating Union and a member of the International Olympic Committee. He held the ISU position from 1994 to 2016 and the IOC position since 1996. In 2000 he was elected member of the IOC Executive Committee, a position that he held until 2008. Prior to becoming ISU President he was ISU Vice President and before that the Chair of its Technical Committee for Short Track Speed Skating. Biography Cinquanta grew up in Milan, Italy, where he practiced ice hockey, athletics and speed skating. Cinquanta attended university and he was mainly active in business administration. Jacques Favart
Jacques Favart (30 July 1920 – 27 September 1980) was a French sports official and figure skating, figure skater. He won the French Figure Skating Championships in men's singles in 1942. As a pair skater, he competed with his wife Denise Favart from 1946 to 1950. They placed 14th at the 1948 Winter Olympics. He served as president of the International Skating Union from 1967 to 1980, and of Fédération Française des Sports de Glace from 1968 to 1969. He was inaugurated in the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame in 1993. The International Skating Union (ISU) is the international governing body for competitive ice skating disciplines, including figure skating, synchronized skating, speed skating, and short track speed skating.
