Okokomaiko
Okokomaiko is an area in the town of Ojo, located in Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, along the Lagos- Badagry Expressway. The Lagos State government, under the leadership of the former governor Akinwunmi Ambode stretched the importance of this route in the West African sub-region and had plans to expand the Lagos-Badagry Expressway to a 10-lane highway. This construction began from Eric Moore to Okokomaiko. Ambode, during his tenure as the governor, welcomed any investor who is willing to partner with the state government in the construction of the mile-2 to Badagry road project, which includes the Okokomaiko area. Ọlawale Ọlọfọrọ (born Olawale Ibrahim Ashimi; 9 May 1986), better known as Brymo, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, stage performer,actor and author. Ojo, Lagos State
Ojo is a Local Government Area and town in Lagos State, Nigeria. Lagos State University is located there. Ojo is located on the eastern section of the Trans–West African Coastal Highway, about 37 km west of Lagos. It is part of the Lagos Metropolitan Area. Ojo is a primarily residential township although it contains some major markets including Alaba International Market, Alaba livestock market (Alaba Rago), the old Lagos International Trade Fair complex, and Iyana-Iba market. Akinwunmi Ambode (born 14 June 1963) is a Nigerian politician who served as Governor of Lagos State from 2015 to 2019. He was a civil servant for 27 years and a financial consultant before running for public office. Ambode ran for office of the Governor of Lagos State in April 2015 as a member of the All Progressives Congress, the state's ruling party. Badagry
Badagry (traditionally Gbagli) also spelled Badagri, is a coastal town and Local Government Area (LGA) in Lagos State, Nigeria. It is quite close to the city of Lagos, and located on the north bank of Porto Novo Creek, an inland waterway that connects Lagos (Nigeria's largest city and economic capital) to the Beninese capital of Porto-Novo. The same route connects Lagos, Ilaro, and PortNovo and shares a border with the Republic of Benin. As of the preliminary 2006 census results, the municipality had a population of 241,093. Serving as a lagoon and an Atlantic port, Badagry emerged as a commercial center on the West African coast between 1736 and 1851. Seme Border
Seme Border is a settlement in Nigeria on the border with Benin, thirty minutes drive from Badagry on the coastal road between Lagos and Cotonou. Seme is a part of Badagry Division of Lagos State. With the present political division in the state, it is under Badagry -West Local council development area (LCDA). A new multilateral facility for the border post was formally opened on 23 October 2018. At least three times in the 2005-2009 period violence has broken out in the border town, with fatal consequences. It is reportedly a regular occurrence for Nigerian officials to harass travelers for money at the border or at checkpoints along the road leading from the border. The drive time between Badagry and Seme border has been tripled by the presence of these illegal checkpoints instituted to extort travelers.
