Oisín Kiernan
Oisín Kiernan (born 1 October 1992) is an Irish Gaelic footballer who plays for the Cavan county team. He plays his club football with Castlerahan, having previously played for the St Brigid's club in Meath. Playing career Club St Brigid's Kiernan played with the St Brigid's club from a young age, and later joined the club's senior team. Kiernan played with the club up until he suffered a cruciate ligament injury at the age of 23, which kept him out for seven months. Castlerahan Kiernan transferred to Castlerahan for the 2017 season. On 8 October 2017, Kiernan was at full back for the county final against Cavan Gaels. Kiernan scored two points but for the third consecutive year, Castlerahan came out on the losing side. In 2018, Castlerahan were in the county final once again where they faced Crosserlough. Castlerahan claimed their first championship, but Kiernan had been diagnosed with cancer and didn't feature. Castlerahan GAA
Castlerahan is a Gaelic football club from Ballyjamesduff, County Cavan, Ireland. They take their name from the Castlerahan barony in which Ballyjamesduff is located. History The club was founded in its current state in 1961, Ballyjamesduff and Castlerahan fielding separate teams prior to then. The club reached its first Senior Championship final in 1968, losing to Crosserlough. In 2011, the club reached its first senior final since 1968. They lost the final heavily to Cavan Gaels. It was four years before Castlerahan reached another county final against Kingscourt Stars in 2015. Castlerahan came up one point short on that occasion. Ulster Senior Football Championship
The Ulster Senior Football Championship is an inter-county competition for Gaelic football teams in the province of Ulster. It is organised by the Ulster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) and begins in early May. The final is usually played on the third Sunday in July. All nine Ulster counties participate. It is regarded as hardest to win of the four provincial football championships. At a referee conference in January 2015, David Coldrick said about officiating in the competition: "Ulster makes or breaks you. It can be a graveyard. The games are different. There is an extra dimension and intensity, and you must be at your best. If you aren't prepared physically and mentally, the chances are you will be caught out. Testicular Cancer
Testicular cancer is cancer that develops in the testicles, a part of the male reproductive system. Symptoms may include a lump in the testicle, or swelling or pain in the scrotum. Treatment may result in infertility. Risk factors include an undescended testis, family history of the disease, and previous history of testicular cancer. More than 95% are germ cell tumors which are divided into seminomas and nonseminomas. Other types include sex-cord stromal tumors and lymphomas. Diagnosis is typically based on a physical exam, ultrasound, and blood tests. Surgical removal of the testicle with examination under a microscope is then done to determine the type.
