Oil India FC
Oil India Football Club is an Indian professional football club from Duliajan in Assam. The club was founded by Oil India in 1964. It also participated in I-League 2nd Division, then second tier football tournament of Indian football league system, for three seasons. Oil India FC was nominated by Assam Football Association for the 2021 I-League Qualifiers but didn't make it to the final list approved by the AIFF. History Oil India FC is sponsored by the public sector giant Oil India Ltd, as well as Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas. The club was set up in 1964 at Duliajan in upper Assam, although some administrative facilities are located in Dibrugarh. They took part in the first three editions of I-League 2nd Division. In 2010 edition, the club had progressed to final round but failed to qualify for the top tier. Nehru Maidan or Oil India Ground is a multi-purpose sport stadium used mostly for football matches, located in Duliajan, Assam. The ground is owned and managed by Oil India. Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup is a association football, football league cup in the Bodoland Territorial Region, Assam, India, organised by Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) in memory of Bodoland martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Bodoland movement. The 21st edition of the tournament was won by United Chirang Duar FC, Runikatha by defeating Baarhoongkha Athletic Club, Kokrajhar 1–0 in the final, played at Banargaon Jaiklong Sports Club ground. The Assam Tea Planters' Association Shield, commonly known as the A.T.P.A. Shield, is an annual Indian association football tournament held in Jorhat, Assam and organised by Jorhat District Sports Association (JDSA). It is one of the esteemed and the third oldest football tournament of Assam after Independence Day Cup and Bordoloi Trophy. Milan Basumatary (born 2 September 1997) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder and striker for Shillong Lajong in the I-League.
