Ohio State University College Of Arts And Sciences
The College of Arts and Sciences is one of sixteen colleges at Ohio State University. The college is the largest at Ohio State, and is located in several buildings throughout its campus. The college is composed of 38 departments, and hosts over 80 different majors. History In 1968, the college was split up into five separate colleges: the College of Arts, College of Biological Sciences, College of Humanities, College of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, and College of Social and Behavioral Sciences. University President E. Gordon Gee reunited the five colleges in 2010. Academics The College offers majors in over 70 different academic disciplines. On a yearly basis, around half of all credit hours at Ohio State are earned through the College of Arts and Sciences. Columbus () is the state capital and the most populous city in the U.S. state of Ohio. ''The Columbus Dispatch'' is a daily newspaper based in Columbus, Ohio. Its first issue was published on July 1, 1871, and it has been the only mainstream daily newspaper in the city since ''The Columbus Citizen-Journal'' ceased publication in 1985. As of November 2019, Alan D. Miller is the newspaper's interim general manager. History The paper was founded in June 1871 by a group of 10 printers with 900 in financial capital. The paper published its first issue as ''The Daily Dispatch'' on July 1, 1871, as a four-page paper which cost 4¢ (¢ in ) per copy. The paper was originally an afternoon paper for the city of Columbus, Ohio, which at the time had a population of 32,000. The United States Ambassador to Norway (formally the Ambassador of the United States to the Kingdom of Norway) is the official representative of the President and the Government of the United States of America to the King and Government of Norway. Charles Newirth (born August 22, 1955) is an American film producer. Newirth most recently executive produced the blockbuster films ''Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings'' (2021), ''Ant-Man and the Wasp'' (2018), '' Dr. Strange'' (2016) and ''Iron Man 3'' (2013), for Marvel Studios and Disney. Bebe Miller
Bebe Miller (born 1950) is an American choreographer, dancer, and director. Career Miller was born in 1950 in Brooklyn, New York. Following her graduation from Ohio State University with a degree in dance, Miller danced in the troupe of Nina Wiener for six years. She formed her own company, Bebe Miller Dance, in 1984. Miller was a professor of dance at the Ohio State University from 2000 to 2017, holding the rank of Distinguished Professor in the Arts and Humanities when she retired. Stephen Michael "Steve" Martino (born July 21, 1959) is an American designer and film director. He is best known for directing the films ''Horton Hears a Who!'' (2008), '' Ice Age: Continental Drift'' (2012), and ''The Peanuts Movie'' (2015). Early life Martino went to Ohio State University where he studied design. After graduation, he heard computer animation pioneer Chuck Csuri speak. "I was absolutely blown away. No one was doing what he was showing us. Charles Csuri (July 4, 1922 – February 27, 2022), better known as Chuck Csuri, was an American artist and computer art pioneer, described by the '' Smithsonian'' magazine as the "father of digital art and computer animation."
