State Route 716 (SR 716) is a state highway in the western part of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its southern terminus is at SR 705 in the village of Osgood in northeastern Darke County. The northern terminus of SR 716 is at SR 274 in the village of Chickasaw in southeastern Mercer County. For its entire length, SR 716 runs parallel to, and approximately to the east of, U.S. Route 127. The highway was assigned in 1937 on a routing from SR 705 in Osgood to an unnumbered highway in Franklin Township. The route was truncated to its current northern terminus in 1973. A concurrency in a road network is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. When two roadways share the same right-of-way, it is sometimes called a common section or commons. Marion Local High School is a public high school located in Maria Stein, Ohio. It currently has approximately 286 students enrolled. The students are from several surrounding communities, including Cassella, St. Rose, Osgood, Chickasaw, St. Sebastian, Yorkshire, and Maria Stein. State Route 705 (SR 705) is a state highway in western Ohio, a U.S. state. The highway's western terminus is in rural northwestern Darke County at SR 49 approximately southeast of Fort Recovery, and just a mile south of the Darke-Mercer County Line. Its eastern terminus is at SR 29 nearly northwest of Sidney. Established in the late 1930s, SR 705 connects the northern half of Darke County to the city of Sidney.
