Carrollton is a village in and the county seat of Carroll County, Ohio, located southeast of Canton. The population was 3,087 at the time of the 2020 census. It is part of the Canton–Massillon metropolitan area. History The village was established as "Centreville" on October 4, 1815, at the crossroads of the Steubenville to Canton and New Lisbon to New Philadelphia roads by Peter Bohart. State Route 43 (SR 43) is a mainly north–south state highway that runs through the northeastern quadrant of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its southern terminus is at a signalized intersection with State Route 7 along the Ohio River in Steubenville, and its western terminus is approximately to the north at Public Square in Cleveland. National Highway System (United States)
The National Highway System (NHS) is a network of strategic highways within the United States, including the Interstate Highway System and other roads serving major airports, ports, military bases, rail or truck terminals, railway stations, pipeline terminals and other strategic transport facilities.
