Ohio State Buckeyes Men's Lacrosse
The Ohio State Buckeyes men's lacrosse team represents The Ohio State University in National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I college lacrosse. The program was created in 1953. Ohio State plays its home games at Ohio Stadium, which has a capacity of 104,944. The Buckeyes have competed in the Big Ten men's lacrosse conference since 2015. Through 2019, the team has an all–time record of 493-424-5. In 2008, Ohio State won its first NCAA men's lacrosse tournament game, defeating Cornell, 15–7, before falling to Duke, 21–10, in the quarterfinals. In 2013, they recorded their second tournament win, defeating Towson, 16–6. In 2017, they made their first Final Four appearance in school history. They beat Towson in the semifinals, but lost in the championship to Maryland, 9-6. The Michigan Wolverines men's lacrosse team is the intercollegiate men's lacrosse program representing the University of Michigan. The school competes in the Big Ten Conference in Division I of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Justin Inacio
Justin Inacio (born November 6, 1998) is a Canadian professional lacrosse player who plays as a faceoff specialist with the Archers Lacrosse Club of the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) and as a defenceman for the Calgary Roughnecks of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). Inacio played college lacrosse for the Ohio State Buckeyes. Early and personal life Inacio was born and raised in Oakville, Ontario as the son of Nelson and Sandra Inacio. He has an older sister. Inacio began to play lacrosse at the age of 4, and would go on to attend The Hill Academy, where he played lacrosse for head coach Brodie Merrill. The Waterdogs Lacrosse Club is a professional men's field lacrosse team in the Premier Lacrosse League (PLL). The Waterdogs are the first PLL expansion team set to play in the 2020 season. Players were selected through an expansion draft, new entry draft, and the college draft over the first few months of 2020. Premier Lacrosse League (PLL) is an American professional field lacrosse league, composed of 8 teams. The league's inaugural season debuted on June 1, 2019, and included a 14-week tour-based schedule taking place in 12 major-market cities. The league was founded by the American professional lacrosse player Paul Rabil and his brother Mike Rabil. Investors include The Chernin Group, The Raine Group and Joe Tsai. 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship
The 2022 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship was the 51st annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national championship for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's college lacrosse. Eighteen teams competed in the tournament based upon their performance during the regular season. For ten teams, entry into the tournament was by means of a conference tournament automatic qualifier, while for the remaining eight teams at-large selection was determined by the NCAA selection committee. After losing in the championship game the year prior, Maryland won their fourth NCAA-era national championship, capping off an undefeated season. The 2015 NCAA Division I Men's Lacrosse Championship was the 45th annual single-elimination tournament to determine the national championship for National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I men's college lacrosse. ECAC Lacrosse League
The ECAC Lacrosse League was an American NCAA Division I college athletic conference and part of the Eastern College Athletic Conference. Founded in 1999 with play beginning in 2000, this part of the conference only sponsored men's lacrosse. It disbanded at the end of the 2014 season as an indirect result of the early-2010s NCAA conference realignment.
