Oh Jin-hyek
Oh Jin-hyek ( ko, 오진혁; , Hanja: 吳真爀; born 15 August 1981) is a South Korean archer. Oh first competed for the Korean national team in 1999, but did not win a major individual international tournament until he won the gold medal in the Men's individual event at the 2012 Summer Olympics, also becoming the first Korean male archer to win an Olympic individual gold medal. With partners Im Dong-hyun and Kim Bub-min, he also finished in third place in the Men's team event. He was the world number one ranked archer from April 2013 to June 2014, winning the individual gold medal at the 2013 Archery World Cup Final and two individual silver medals at the 2011 and 2013 World Championships. Oh competes for the Hyundai Steel corporate archery team and is known for his distinctive dynamic technique. Oh won the Men's Team Gold Medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics for Team South Korea. Asian Games
The Asian Games, also known as Asiad, is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from all over Asia. The Games were regulated by the Asian Games Federation (AGF) from the first Games in New Delhi, India, until the 1978 Games. Since the 1982 Games, they have been organized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA), after the breakup of the Asian Games Federation. The Games are recognized by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and are described as the second largest multi-sport event after the Olympic Games. Atanu Das
Atanu Das (born 5 April 1992) represents India in the recurve men's individual and team events. His current world ranking is 9 as of 22 July 2021. He is the spouse of World No. 1 Indian archer Deepika Kumari. Career Das started archery at the age of 14 under the coaching of Mithu Da. In 2008, he moved to Tata Archery Academy where he was trained under the Korean coach Lim Chae Wong. He made his international debut in 2008. Das won the bronze medal, with Deepika Kumari, in the 2013 World Cup mixed team event organized in Colombia. Deepika Kumari and Atanu Das beat Sjef van den Berg and Gabriela Schloesser of Netherlands and fetch India a third gold medal at the World Cup. The World Archery Rankings is a ranking system developed by the World Archery Federation for international competitive archery. It is calculated using a points system and published following major World Archery tournaments. The ranking system was first developed in 2001, and calculation method updated in 2010. Kim Bub-min ( ko, 김법민; ; born 22 May 1991, Daejeon) is a South Korean archer. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, he competed for his country, alongside partners Im Dong-hyun and Oh Jin-hyek in the Men's team event, finishing in third place. He also competed in the men's individual event, finishing in 5th place. Im Dong-hyun
Im Dong-hyun (; ; born 12 May 1986) is a South Korean archer. He competes for the South Korean national team and is a former world number one. He has 20/200 vision in his left eye and 20/100 vision in his right eye, meaning he needs to be 10 times closer to see objects clearly with his left eye, compared to someone with perfect vision. Career 2004 Summer Olympics At the 2004 Summer Olympics, Im set a world record in the 72 arrow men's individual ranking round, with a score of 687 (it was not recognized by the International Olympic Committee as an Olympic record, however, as the ranking round took place on 12 August, before the 2004 opening ceremony). Hanja (Hangul: ; Hanja: , ), alternatively known as Hancha, are Chinese characters () used in the writing of Korean. Hanja was used as early as the Gojoseon period, the first ever Korean kingdom.
