Archery At The 1992 Summer Olympics
There were four different archery competitions at the 1992 Summer Olympics. The format of the previous Olympics was dropped for this Olympiad, with an entirely new system being put in place. For the first time, all archery was done at a single distance, 70 metres. All archers took place in the ranking round, in which they shot 144 arrows. These scores were used to determine both individual and team ranks. Cho Youn-jeong ( ko, 조윤정; born September 29, 1969) is a South Korean archer. A two-time Olympic gold medalist, she achieved both her gold medals at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. 1995 World Archery Championships
The 1995 World Archery Championships was the 38th edition of the event. It was held in Jakarta, Indonesia on 1–6 August 1995 and was organised by World Archery Federation (FITA). The event marked the first championships where the compound discipline was contested. It also marked the last World Championships at which eventual women's recurve champion Natalia Valeeva represented Moldova (and previously Soviet Union) before switching allegiance to Italy, for whom she also triumphed at the 2007 World Championships. The 2014 Archery World Cup was the 9th edition of the annual international archery circuit, organised by the World Archery Federation. American Brady Ellison won the men's recurve competition for a record third time, beating 16-year-old Marcus D'Almeida in the final by shoot off. The winners in the other events were all from the Americas. The 2013 Archery World Cup was the 8th edition of the annual international archery circuit, organised by the World Archery Federation. Archers in the recurve and compound disciplines acquired qualifying points based on their performance. The top mixed team and the top seven individual archers over the course of the four stages (with no more than two from one nation) joined the leading non-qualified host nation archer for the finals. The 2012 Archery World Cup was the 7th edition of the annual international archery circuit, organised by the World Archery Federation. As 2012 was an Olympic year, the World Cup consisted of three, not four legs. The best individual and mixed performers in each discipline over the three legs then joined host representatives in qualifying for the finals. The women's team recurve competition at the 2013 World Archery Championships took place on 29 September – 6 October 2013 in Belek, Turkey. 32 countries entered the full quota of 3 archers into the qualification round, thus becoming eligible for the team competition.
