Office of the Chief Executive is the office building for the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. It is located at 1 Tim Wa Avenue in Admiralty on Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong SAR. It is one of the buildings in the Tamar Development Project. East of its location is the Legislative Council Complex; on the south is Central Government Complex. The open space between these three building are preserve as Tamar Park. Tamar ( ) is the administrative centre of Hong Kong located in Admiralty. The headquarters of Hong Kong's Legislative Council and Central Government are located in Tamar. Adjacent to the island's financial heart at the Central harbourfront, the word Tamar is often used as a metonymy for the Government of Hong Kong. Government House, located on Government Hill in Central, Hong Kong, is the official residence of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. It was constructed in 1855 as a Colonial Renaissance-style building, but was significantly remodelled during the Japanese occupation, resulting in the current hybrid Japanese- neoclassical form. Government House was the official residence of the Governor from 1855 to 1997, when the territory was under British rule. Tamar Park
Tamar Park () is an urban park in Admiralty, Hong Kong covering around with the design concept of 'perpetual green'. The park occupies 80% of the Tamar site public space and is managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department of the Hong Kong government. It is enclosed by Harcourt Road, Legislative Council Road, Tim Mei Avenue, Tim Wa Avenue and Lung Wo Road. Central Government Complex (Hong Kong)
The Central Government Complex has been the headquarters of the Government of Hong Kong since 2011. Located at the Tamar site, the complex comprises the Central Government Offices, the Legislative Council Complex and the Office of the Chief Executive of Hong Kong. The complex has taken over the roles of several buildings, including the former Central Government Offices, Murray Building and the former Legislative Council Building. History By 2001, existing government offices at Murray Building and the former Central Government Offices were considered to be too small. The Legislative Council Complex (LegCo Complex) is the headquarters of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong. The complex is located at 1 Legislative Council Road, Central, Hong Kong. Admiralty is the eastern extension of the central business district (adjacent to, but separate from, Central) on the Hong Kong Island of Hong Kong. It is located on the eastern end of the Central and Western District, bordered by Wan Chai to the east and Victoria Harbour to the north. The name of ''Admiralty'' refers to the former Admiralty Dock in the area which housed a naval dockyard. It consists of the immediate staff to the Chief Executive of Hong Kong and multiple levels of support staff reporting to the Chief Executive. The current director is Carol Yip, making her the first woman to hold the office.
