Odlew Poznań
HKS Odlew Poznań is a Polish amateur association football club from Poznań, Greater Poland. Despite its lowly position in the football league pyramid, the club has gained widespread notoriety and almost legendary status for its humorous approach to football and promotion of football at the amateur level, making it one of the best supported and recognisable non-professional football clubs. Etymology The club name was chosen on the basis of the popular 1988 comedy film ''Piłkarski Poker'' which, although fictitious, was later widely seen to have been an accurate representation of match-fixing practices at the time. One of the fictitious clubs in the league was a team by the name ''Odlew Poznań'', which only had a few seconds' worth of appearances in the film and a very minor role to the plot, the chairman of the club being even denied a speaking part. Boguslaw Baniak (born 23 September 1958 in Poland), nicknamed Bebeto is a Polish football manager and former player who is currently in charge of Polish club Olimpia Grudziądz. Besides Poland, he has managed in Burkina Faso and Uzbekistan. Career Baniak started his managerial career with Amica Wronki. Stryków
Stryków (german: 1943-45 Strickau) is a town in central Poland, in Łódź Voivodeship, in Zgierz County. It has 3,428 inhabitants (2020). History Early history The first mention of Stryków was in 1387. Stryków was a village situated on the route from Zgierz to Lowicz. Stryków received city rights in 1394 from King Wladyslaw Jagiello, at the request of the heir of the town founder, Strykowskiego Deresława. In the middle of the eighteenth century, the city had 45 artisans (13 clothiers, 5 merchants and shopkeepers, and 5 others) and was a local center of commerce and crafts. In association football, the referee is the person responsible for interpreting and enforcing the Laws of the Game during a match. The referee is the final decision-making authority on all facts connected with play, and is the match official with the authority to start and stop play and impose disciplinary action against players and coaches during a match. The Polish Football Association ( pl, Polski Związek Piłki Nożnej; PZPN) is the governing body of association football in Poland. It organizes the Polish football leagues (without the Ekstraklasa), the Polish Cup and the Polish national football team. It is based in the Polish capital of Warsaw. History The fully independent federation was established 20 December 1919 engulfing the autonomous Polish Football Union (PFU) that was part of the disintegrated Austrian Football Union. Ultras
Ultras are a type of association football fans who are renowned for their fanatical support. The term originated in Italy, but is used worldwide to describe predominantly organised fans of association football teams. The behavioural tendency of ultras groups includes their use of flares (primarily in tifo choreography), vocal support in large groups and the displaying of banners at football stadiums, all of which are designed to create an atmosphere which encourages their own team and intimidates the opposing players and their supporters. The frequent use of elaborate displays in stadiums is also common. The actions of ultras groups are occasionally extreme and they may be influenced by racism and political ideologies, including avowedly nationalist and anti-semitic ones. Warta Poznań () is a multi-sports club based in Poznań, Poland. The name means ''the Guard'' in Polish and also the name of the river Warta on which Poznań is located. Founded in 1912, the association football club are two-time winners of the Polish Football Championship, in 1929 and 1947. In 2020, Warta returned to the Polish Ekstraklasa after being absent for 25 years. Franciszek Smuda (; born 22 June 1948) is a Polish Association football, football Coach (sport), coach and former footballer who also holds a German passport. As a player, he spent his career playing for clubs in Poland, the United States and Germany.
