Odense Fjord
Odense Fjord is a 13 km long fjord on the northern part of the Danish island of Funen. It covers an area of about 63 km2. Geography The city of Odense is connected with the fjord through the Odense Canal. The Odense River ends in the fjord at Stige and Seden. Tornoe Odense Fjord
Rob Tornoe is a cartoonist and writer, and is one of the last remaining sports cartoonists on staff at a newspaper. His sports cartoons appear in ''The Philadelphia Inquirer''. He is also a political cartoonist and his cartoons appear in WHYY-FM, The Press of Atlantic City', The News Journal, and others. He has drawn political spoofs ranging from Al Gore to ''Peanuts''. Funen
Funen ( da, Fyn, ), with an area of , is the third-largest island of Denmark, after Zealand and Vendsyssel-Thy. It is the 165th-largest island in the world. It is located in the central part of the country and has a population of 469,947 as of 2020. Funen's main city is Odense, which is connected to the sea by a seldom-used canal. Odense Harbour ("Odense Havn") is the port of Odense, Denmark. Founded in , Denmark's only canal harbour is the country's seventh largest commercial port in terms of turnover. Vigelsø
Vigelsø is a small, uninhabited island in Odense Fjord, off the coast of Funen, Denmark. With an area of , it is the largest island in the fjord and an important breeding ground for waterfowl and rest stop for migratory birds. It is part of the Special Area of Conservation ''No. SPC 94, Odense Fjord'' under the EU Habitat and Birds Directives. Tornø
Tornø (meaning Thorn Island) is a small island in the Odense Fjord, roughly northeast of the city of Odense, in Kerteminde Municipality, Funen, Denmark. It covers an area of and is connected to the mainland by a -long causeway. The first tenant farmer on the island was Hans Eriksen in 1921. For years the island could only be reached by riding or driving through the shallow waters but after Anders Jørgensen bought the island in 1922, he connected it to the mainland by road so that he could transport shells from the island. The link was completed in 1926. His shell crushing plant has long disappeared but the land is still farmed on Odense Fjord's only inhabited island. Nakskov Fjord
Nakskov Fjord is an inlet in the west of the island of Lolland, Denmark. It is about long. There are about 10 small islands located in the fjord. The largest town in the area is Nakskov. The area is a designated bird sanctuary. Geography Naksov Fjord is situated at the western end of Lolland. Nakskov is the largest town in the area, along with the smaller towns of Langø and Tårs. The southern edge of the fjord is made by the 7.5 kilometer long curved strip of grassland called Albuen ("The Elbow") while the northern edge lies near the small town of Tårs.
