OceanLab
OceanLab (or Above & Beyond presents OceanLab) is a vocal trance group formed in London, England, in 2000, consisting of vocalist Justine Suissa and the three members of Above & Beyond: Jono Grant, Paavo Siljamäki, and Tony McGuinness. After a several year hiatus, the group announced their return with a new single at Above & Beyond's ABGT150 concert in September 2015. History The group's initial success was aided in part by popular trance musicians remixing their original work. Their first single, released in 2001, was the song "Clear Blue Water" which was remixed by several artists — the most successful of which was by Ferry Corsten. The track peaked at #48 in the UK Singles Chart in April 2002. The second single "Sky Falls Down" was released in 2002 and remixed by Armin van Buuren. Above & Beyond are an electronic music group consisting of English DJs Jono Grant, Tony McGuinness and Finnish DJ Paavo Siljamäki. Formed in 2000, they are the owners of London-based electronic dance music labels Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, and also host a weekly radio show titled ''Group Therapy Radio''. The trio has been consistently ranked among ''DJ Magazine's'' Top 100 DJs Poll, having placed at No. 6 in 2007, No. 4 in 2008 & 2009, No. 5 in 2010 & 2011, No. 51 in 2018, No. 22 in 2019, No. 19 in 2020, No. 21 in 2021, and most recently No. 30 in 2022. Justine Suissa
Justine Simone Freha Suissa (born 21 March 1970) is a British singer-songwriter, the vocalist of trance group OceanLab. Career and collaborations She has collaborated with Armin van Buuren, Markus Schulz and Robbie Rivera, and has continued to work with Above & Beyond outside of OceanLab, most recently on their 2016 world tour and participating on four songs on the band's 2018 album '' Common Ground''. Three songs "Cold Feet", "Naked" and the album's lead single " Alright Now" she appeared as a featured artist and the song "Bittersweet & Blue", featuring Richard Bedford, which marked her first co-written credit. Tony McGuinness (English Musician)
Anthony Patrick James McGuinness, (born 23 April 1969) is a British trance musician. He is known for being in the electronic music group Above & Beyond. He is also a guitarist/songwriter with cult indie band Sad Lovers & Giants. Biography Tony McGuinness plays guitar with English indie band Sad Lovers & Giants, appearing on three albums between 1988 and 2002 and is still an active member having toured US and Europe regularly with them since 2009. McGuinness was also a highly successful marketing director for Warner Music Group, winning awards for his campaigns for Madonna, Seal, Simply Red and Mike Oldfield. While working at Warner, McGuinness shifted away from alternative rock towards electronic dance music. He worked as A&R for a number of dance artists, including William Orbit and Hysteric Ego. Cosmic Gate is a German DJ duo consisting of trance music producers Claus Terhoeven (born 1972) and Stefan Bossems (born 1967). Both hail from Krefeld, Germany. On October 28, 2009, ''DJ Magazine'' announced the results of their annual Top 100 DJ Poll, with Ultra Records artist Cosmic Gate placed #19, 43 spots above the group's ranking the year before. For the 2010 ''DJ Magazine'' Top 100 DJ Poll, Cosmic Gate moved to #24. Signum (musical Group)
Signum is the name for two Dutch producers, Pascal Minnaard () and Ronald Hagen (). They are producers who create and remix mainly trance music. Career Originally they both lived in Zoetermeer, a city in the Netherlands. In 2008, Minnaard moved to Norway with his fiancé. Both Hagen and Minnaard still work together with the aid of internet technology and share projects together to create Signum tracks and DJ sets. Their first notable mainstream success was in 1997 with "What Ya Got 4 Me" (based on Tony de Vit's "The Dawn"), becoming a club anthem. This song was re-released in 2001 and entered the Top 40 of the UK Singles Chart.
