Objetivo Fama (season 1)
The first season of '' Objetivo Fama'' began in 2004. The season featured a varying panel of judges, including Roberto Sueiro, who is the only remaining judge of the original season. The show was hosted by Nicaraguan singer Luis Enrique. Auditions Auditions were held in several towns and cities of Puerto Rico. Final Cutdown Out of each audition, a group 18 contestants were selected. This was the only season to feature only Puerto Rican contestants. The 18 selected contestants, in alphabetical order, were: * Age was taken at the beginning of the contest (2004) Weekly Shows Quarter-finals Controversies * Kany García was the first contestant eliminated from the show, due to a car accident she had after the first show. However, she recovered and has launched a successful career as a singer and songwriter. * Natalia Acosta was also eliminated from the show to a throat illness. Luis Enrique (singer)
Luis Enrique Mejía López (born September 28, 1962) is a Nicaraguan singer-songwriter. He is known as "El Príncipe de la Salsa" (''The Prince of Salsa''). He achieved widespread success with the single " Yo No Sé Mañana". Early life and education He attended La Serna High School in Whittier, California. Career He started his career in the late 1980s and achieved success in the 1990s. He was one of the leading pioneers that led to the salsa romántica movement in the 1980s. Enrique has received two Grammy Award-nomination for " Best Tropical Latin Performance" for album ''Luces del Alma'' and his song "Amiga". He performed and recorded with salsa romántica group Sensation 85, which also included La Palabra and Nestor Torres. MDO is a Latin American pop/rock band, spun off in 1997 from the Latin American boy band once known as Menudo. The group's first line-up reunited for an international tour in 2015. Band history In the mid-1990s, Edgardo Diaz, Menudo's creator and director, sold the rights for the trademarked name Menudo to a Panamanian company. After the release and promotion of Menudo's album ''Tiempo De Amar'' in 1996, the remaining line-up formed MDO under the direction and production of Diaz at first.
