Janina Maria Irizarry Nazario (or simply Janina) is a Puerto Rican singer and actress more known for being the winner of the first season of '' Objetivo Fama'', a singing talent contest held in Puerto Rico. Janina has also hosted several television shows on the island. She is a member of the first sorority of Puerto Rico, the Mu Alpha Phi sorority. Background Rising star Janina Irizarry Nazario was born in San Germán, P.R. When she was a little girl, her family settled in Lajas. It was in this town where she grew up, why this is considered "Lajeña". Her artistic vocation surfaced during her childhood, which led her parents to lead it in the musical art. Marlon Fernández (born August 24, 1977, in Cuba) is a Cuban singer, better known as the winner of the third season of ''Objetivo Fama'', a Puerto Rican reality-show -singing talent contest broadcast by Univision Puerto Rico, and Telefutura network in the United States. Biography Marlon Fernández was born in La Lisa, Cuba in 1977 to José and Raquel Fernández. At the age of 14, he formed a five-piece band that would help him in his future career. In 2001, he had an accident that threatened his right leg and moved to Tenerife, Canary Islands for treatment. During his stay there, he participated and won in a talent competition called ''El Concurso de la Juventud''. He followed the competition by performing at several clubs and restaurants in Spain. Objetivo Fama (season 1)
The first season of '' Objetivo Fama'' began in 2004. The season featured a varying panel of judges, including Roberto Sueiro, who is the only remaining judge of the original season. The show was hosted by Nicaraguan singer Luis Enrique. Auditions Auditions were held in several towns and cities of Puerto Rico. Final Cutdown Out of each audition, a group 18 contestants were selected. This was the only season to feature only Puerto Rican contestants. The 18 selected contestants, in alphabetical order, were: * Age was taken at the beginning of the contest (2004) Weekly Shows Quarter-finals Controversies * Kany García was the first contestant eliminated from the show, due to a car accident she had after the first show.
