Oasis Academy Shirley Park (formerly Ashburton Community School) is a mixed all-through school located within the Ashburton Learning Village complex in the Woodside area of Croydon, Greater London, England. The school educates children of primary and secondary school age, and also has a sixth form. It is based on three sites: Shirley Road, Long Lane, Stroud Green. Originally two schools, Ashburton Secondary Modern Boys and Ashburton Secondary Modern Girls, which merged in 1971 to become Ashburton High School. At a later date, the school became Ashburton Community School and became an Academy in 2009 and was renamed Oasis Academy Shirley Park. The school is sponsored by the Oasis Trust. The academy has a partnership with local English Premier League-club Crystal Palace dating back to the former Community School. An academy school in England is a state-funded school which is directly funded by the Department for Education and independent of local authority control. The English Baccalaureate (EBacc) is a school performance indicator in England linked to the General Certificate of Secondary Education (GCSE) results. It measures students' attainment by calculating an average score from specified subject grades. The EBacc includes subjects which are studied in many subsequent university programmes. Aaron Wan-Bissaka (born 26 November 1997) is an English professional footballer who plays as a right-back for club Manchester United. The National Curriculum assessment usually refers to the statutory assessments carried out in primary schools in England, colloquially known as standard attainment tests (SATs). In mathematics education at primary school level, a number bond (sometimes alternatively called an addition fact) is a simple addition sum which has become so familiar that a child can recognise it and complete it almost instantly, with recall as automatic as that of an entry from a multiplication table in multiplication. For example, a number bond looks like :5 + 2 = 7 A child who "knows" this number bond should be able to immediately fill in any one of these three numbers if it were missing, given the other two, without having to "work it out".
