Oakland Military Institute, formally the ''Oakland Military Institute College Preparatory Academy'', is a charter school run by the California Military Department's Youth and Community Programs Task Force in partnership with the Oakland Unified School District in Oakland, California. Oakland Military Institute's mission is "to provide a structured and rigorous academic program where cadets develop as leaders, scholars, critical thinkers, and citizens." CIF North Coast Section
The North Coast Section (NCS) is a part of the California Interscholastic Federation, governing the eastern portion of the San Francisco Bay Area, up along the northern coast of the state of California, from Fremont in the south to Crescent City in the north. It also governs the private schools in the city of Oakland. Due to this split in regions, the section is split in two for some championships, including football.
