Omladinski košarkaški klub Novi Pazar ( sr-cyrl, Омладински кошаркашки клуб Нови Пазар, ), commonly referred to as OKK Novi Pazar or simply Novi Pazar, is a men's professional basketball club based in Novi Pazar, Serbia. They are currently competing in the Basketball League of Serbia. History In the 2017–18 season, Novi Pazar placed second in the Second League of Serbia and got promoted to the Basketball League of Serbia for the 2018–19 season. The club won the 2019 Cup of Serbia. Basketball League Of Serbia
The Basketball League of Serbia ( sr, Кошаркашка лига Србије, Košarkaška liga Srbije; abbr. КЛС or KLS), is a top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). Rules Competition format The league, operated by the Basketball Federation of Serbia, consists of two stages: the First League which has 16 teams and the SuperLeague which has 8 teams. Since the 2017–18 season, the top 8 teams in First League are promoted to Super League with five Serbian teams from the ABA League. Two lowest-placed teams, positioned 15th and 16th in the First League, are relegated to a lower-tier league – Second Basketball League of Serbia. Fudbalski klub Novi Pazar () is a professional football club from Novi Pazar, Serbia. The club was formed in 1928 as FK Deževa. FK Novi Pazar compete in the Serbian SuperLiga and play their home games at the 12,000 capacity Novi Pazar City Stadium. The club has got a B team FK Novi Pazar 1928 who plays in the Serbian Zone League. The club draws the majority of its support from the Bosniak population, as Novi Pazar is the cultural centre of the Bosniak Muslims in Serbia. Oliver Popović ( sr-cyr, Оливер Поповић; born 18 March 1970) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player. Playing career He was a Yugoslav champion (1987, 1989, and 1998) and Cup holder (1989), silver medalist of Russian (2002) and Greek (2004) basketball championships; bronze medalist of 1988 European Champions' Cup, winner of 1989 Korać Cup and 2003 NEBL; finalist of the 2004 FIBA Euroleague. Boško Đokić ( sr-cyr, Бошко Ђокић; 26 October 1953 – 26 January 2019) was a Serbian professional basketball coach and journalist. Coaching career Đokić coached teams in Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Montenegro and Russia. Between August and November 2005, Đokić coached Avala Ada. Personal life Đokić was a columnist for Serbian daily newspaper Danas after 2011. As a journalist, he worked for Studio B, Večernje novosti, Sport, Koš and the Trener magazine. Marko Dimitrijević ( sr-cyr, Марко Димитријевић; born 8 February 1978) is a Serbian professional basketball coach and former player who is the head coach for Sloga of the Basketball League of Serbia.
