Owen Murphy (9 December 1827 – 4 October 1895) was a Canadian private banker, insurance agent and politician. Owen Murphy (baseball)
Owen Jameson Murphy (born September 27, 2003) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Atlanta Braves organization. Amateur career Murphy began baseball-related activities at the age of four, when his father Mike signed him up for a class offered by the Riverside Recreation Department. Mike Murphy became his son's coach in Little League and travel league baseball when Owen was seven. When he was 13, Murphy began the Rake City baseball training program. Murphy attended Riverside Brookfield High School. He played high school baseball as a pitcher and shortstop, and was also a quarterback and wide receiver for the football team. During his junior season in 2021, he pitched to a 6–1 record and a 0.33 ERA alongside hitting nine home runs. As a senior in 2022, he went 9–0 with a 0.12 ERA, surrendering ten hits while striking out 137 batters over innings and was named the Illinois Gatorade Player of the Year. Eoghan Murphy
Eoghan Murphy (born Dublin, 23 April 1982) is a former Fine Gael politician who was a Teachta Dála (TD) for the Dublin Bay South constituency from 2016 until 27 April 2021, and previously from 2011 to 2016 for the Dublin South-East constituency. He previously served as Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government from 2017 to 2020 and a Minister of State from 2016 to 2017. Recently he has served as Head of Mission on election observation missions to Armenia, Uzbekistan and Italy on behalf of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation (OSCE). Eoghan Murphy (hurler)
Eoghan Murphy (born 1997) is an Irish hurler who plays for Cork Senior Championship club Sarsfields and at inter-county level with the Cork senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a right wing-back. Playing career University College Cork On 23 February 2019, Murphy was joint-captain of the University College Cork team that faced Mary Immaculate College in the Fitzgibbon Cup final. He was at centre-back in the 2-21 to 0-13 victory. Murphy was involved in a second successive Fitzgibbon Cup final on 12 February 2020 when he once again served as joint-captain of the team. Selected at full-back, he suffered a broken finger which ruled him out for the remainder of the competition.
