Owen Armstrong
Owen Armstrong is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera ''Coronation Street'', played by Ian Puleston-Davies. He made his first on-screen appearance on 9 June 2010 and left the show on 15 April 2015. During his time on the show, Owen became the new landlord of Weatherfield whilst attempting to recoup father-daughter relationships with both Izzy (Cherylee Houston) and her younger sister Katy (Georgia May Foote). He then developed a feud with Izzy's boyfriend Gary Windass (Mike North); formed a relationship with Gary's mother Anna (Debbie Rush); and went into business partnership with his nefarious client Pat Phelan (Connor McIntyre), who ended up conning Owen out of his £80,000 investment as revenge for Owen stealing Phelan's bike to force him in repaying him £4,000 – the result of which left both the Armstrong and Windass families virtually on the brink of financial bankruptcy. ''Coronation Street'' is an English soap opera created by Granada Television and shown on ITV since 9 December 1960. The programme centres around a cobbled, terraced street in Weatherfield, a fictional town based on inner-city Salford. Rovers Return Inn
The Rovers Return Inn is a fictional pub in the long-running British soap opera ''Coronation Street''. The Rovers Return occupies a corner of the fictional Coronation Street and Rosamund Street set location in the show. The pub was built by the fictional brewery Newton and Ridley. In the programme, the Rovers Return Inn has been a free house since 1995, although the brewery continues to supply it. The name comes from the Ye Olde Rovers Return in Withy Grove, Manchester, a 14th-century building that became a licensed public house but ceased to be so in 1924 and was demolished in 1958. The fictional pub has had three in-universe layouts. The original layout generally consisted of the style of a public bar. Peter James Armitage (23 October 1939 – 30 November 2018) was an English television and stage actor best known for his role as Bill Webster on long-running soap opera ''Coronation Street''. He was a regular on British screens from the 1970s onwards. Early life Armitage was born out of wedlock in Skipton, West Riding of Yorkshire, where he was brought up primarily by his aunt until the age of 10, when his mother married. He did not meet his father, who was German, until he was 28, and the two did not form a long-term relationship. Armitage attended Glusburn secondary modern school, then was apprenticed to a firm building diesel engines for five years. He subsequently spent a further four years in the Merchant Navy before settling in London, where he worked as a banksman on the construction of the Victoria line. Bill Webster
Bill Webster is a fictional character from the British ITV soap opera, '' Coronation Street'', played by Peter Armitage. The character first appeared onscreen during the episode airing on 6 February 1984 and remained in the show until 1985 when Armitage decided to leave. The character was reintroduced in 1995 but he was again written out two years later. Armitage returned once again in 2006 and appeared frequently until late-April 2010 when the character suddenly appeared only a recurring basis. Patrick James "Pat" Phelan is a fictional character from the British soap opera ''Coronation Street'', portrayed by Connor McIntyre. He made his first appearance during the episode broadcast on 2 October 2013.
