Owais Ahmed Rana
Owais Ahmed Rana (born 10 July 1988) is a 2014 batch IAS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre. He is serving as the Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate of Bandipore in North Kashmir region of J&K Union Territory. He also served as the Deputy Commissioner / District Magistrate of Shopian District of Jammu and Kashmir. Prior to this, he was the chief executive officer of Jammu & Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA), Department of Science & Technology, working under Government of Jammu and Kashmir. He also worked as managing director, JK State Road Transport Corporation. Early life and education Owais Ahmed Rana was born in Kalaban village of Poonch on 10 July 1988. Bandipore
Bandipore () or Bandipora is the headquarters of district of Bandipore in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India. It is located on the northern banks of Wullar Lake—the second-largest freshwater lake in Asia. Bandipora has a terraced garden similar to that of Nishat Bagh in Srinagar. Bandipora is bound by mountains on three sides and by Wular Lake on the fourth. Bandipora is famous for three A's - A'lim (knowledge), Adab (good habits or literature) and Aab (water). Poonch or Punch (''Prūntčh'' In Kashmiri) is a district in the Jammu Division of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Shopian
Shopian or Shupiyan (), known as Shupyan () in Kashmiri, is an administrative division of the Shopian district, located in southern part of Kashmir Valley, of Jammu and Kashmir, India. Shopian is called the ''Apple town of Kashmir'' as majority of the population engages in apple growing practices which also provides employment to more than 60% of the population. Masud Choudhary
Masud Choudhary (10 April 1944 – 16 December 2022) was an Indian educator, social reformer, thinker and an administrator of Jammu and Kashmir union territory. He was the founding Vice Chancellor of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University in Rajouri, J&K. He was also the Chief Patron of the Gurjar Desh Charitable Trust. Choudhary served in the police and retired as the Additional Director of the General Police (IPS) in 2004.
