''Outrageous!'' is a 1977 Canadian comedy drama film written and directed by Richard Benner. The film stars Craig Russell as female impersonator Robin Turner, and Hollis McLaren as Turner's schizophrenic roommate Liza Conners. The plot begins in Toronto, with later scenes in New York City. The film is based on "Making It", a short story by writer Margaret Gibson from her 1976 collection ''The Butterfly Ward''; Russell and Gibson were roommates in real life. ''Outrageous!'' was one of the first gay-themed films ever to receive widespread theatrical release in North America. The sequel '' Too Outrageous!'' was released in 1987. ''Outrageous'' is the first remix album by American singer-actress Cher, released in August 1989 by PolyGram. It was released initially in North America, and released the subsequent years in some European countries. Album information ''Outrageous'' was released in August 1989. The CD contains remixes of all songs from the original album Prisoner. These remixes sometimes, are combined with songs from Cher albums "All I Really Want to Do", " The Sonny Side of Chèr" and " Chér". This compilation most prominently features Cher's 1965 hit debut single, "All I Really Want to Do". The rest of the album features Cher's overlooked and underrated hit singles from the 1960s. Among those overlooked hits are: " Where Do You Go", "Sunny" and "I Go to Sleep". ''Outrageous'' is the third album by American singer-songwriter Kim Fowley, released in 1968 through Imperial Records. Release and reception ''Outrageous'' is perhaps the most renowned of Fowley's solo output and is his only album to chart on the United States' ''Billboard'' 200. In January 2003 Julian Cope selected it as the album of the month, calling it "a shamanic rock’n’roll album made by the ultimate chancer/huckster/gleeman."
