Outokumpu Oyj is a group of international companies headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, employing 10,600 employees in more than 30 countries. Outokumpu is the largest producer of stainless steel in Europe and the second largest producer in the Americas. Outokumpu also has a long history as a mining company, and still mines chromium ore in Keminmaa for use as ferrochrome in stainless steel. Avesta Municipality
Avesta Municipality (''Avesta kommun'') is one of 290 municipalities of Sweden. It is in Dalarna County, in the central part of the country, and its seat is in the town of Avesta. Werdohl () is a town in the district Märkischer Kreis, in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Geography Werdohl is located in the hills of the Sauerland, at a double meander of the river Lenne and its confluent, the Verse. Outotec Oyj (Outokumpu Technology prior to 24 April 2007) was a Finnish company, headquartered in Espoo, aimed at providing technologies and services for the metal and mineral processing industries. In 2020 Outotec merged with Metso Minerals and new company is called Metso Outotec. The firm concentrated on producing machines and methods which facilitate the various stages of extractive metallurgy and mineral processing from ore through to pure metal or mineral, including the grinding and physical separation of ores and the smelting and leaching of base and precious metals.
