Outlaw (comics)
Outlaw is the name of two different fictional characters appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The first Outlaw named Nigel Higgins is England's version of Punisher that first appeared in ''Punisher'' (vol. 2) #64 and was created by Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, and Douglas Braithwaite. The second Outlaw named Inez Temple was created by Gail Simone for the series ''Deadpool'' and '' Agent X''. She is a mutant with the ability of superhuman strength and an uncanny aptitude with firearms. An American comic book is a thin periodical originating in the United States, on average 32 pages, containing comics. While the form originated in 1933, American comic books first gained popularity after the 1938 publication of ''Action Comics'', which included the debut of the superhero Superman. This was followed by a superhero boom that lasted until the end of World War II. After the war, while superheroes were marginalized, the comic book industry rapidly expanded and genres such as horror, crime, science fiction and romance became popular. Collector (Taneleer Tivan) is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Agent X (Nijo Minamiyori, alias Alex Hayden) is a fictional mercenary appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by Gail Simone and Alvin Lee, the character first appeared in ''Agent X'' #1 (Sept 2002), by Gail Simone and UDON. Publication history ''Agent X'' was born out of Marvel Comics' long-running ''Deadpool'' series with experiments including the "miniseries within a series," (''Deadpool: Agent of Weapon X'' and ''Deadpool: Funeral for a Freak'', where the main series' numbering was demoted to secondary status below the "miniseries" numbering), having failed to stymie the leak. Alvin Lee is a Canadian comic book artist known for his manga-styled art. Lee is the co-creator, along with writer Gail Simone of the character Agent X. Lee has worked under major comic book publishers including Image Comics under the UDON label, UDON studios as an independent publisher, Marvel Comics, DC Comics and Wildstorm Productions. Career Alvin Lee started his comic book career at 17, working as a comic book inker, mostly for Pat Lee's art, and was co-founder of now defunct Dreamwave Productions. Sentry (Robert "Bob" Reynolds) is a fictional character and superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appears in ''The Sentry'' #1 (September 2000), and was created by Paul Jenkins and Jae Lee with uncredited conceptual contributions by Rick Veitch. Creation In the late 1990s, Paul Jenkins and Rick Veitch developed an idea by Jenkins' about "an over-the-hill guy, struggling with an addiction, who had a tight relationship with his dog" into a proposal for Marvel Comics' Marvel Knights line.
