Christian Bautista has released a total of eight studio albums, one live album, two compilation albums and twenty-two solo singles in his entire career. Bautista is the first artist of the 2000s, to have his debut album certified multi-platinum in several South-East Asian countries like the Philippines, Indonesia and Thailand. Christian Joseph Morata Bautista (born October 19, 1981) is a Filipino singer, actor, host, and model. He was a finalist of ''Star in a Million'', a Philippine reality show aired on ABS-CBN channel, winning 4th place in the competition in 2003. After the contest, he signed a recording contract with Warner Music Philippines and released his self-titled debut album, ''Christian Bautista''. "Up Where We Belong" is a song written by Jack Nitzsche, Buffy Sainte-Marie and Will Jennings that was recorded by Joe Cocker and Jennifer Warnes for the 1982 film '' An Officer and a Gentleman''. Warnes was recommended to sing a song from the film because of her previous soundtrack successes, and she had the idea for the song to be a duet that she would perform with Cocker. Jennings selected various sections of the score by Nitzsche and Sainte-Marie in creating the structure of the song and added lyrics about the struggles of life and love and the obstacles that people attempt to dodge. Neocolours
Neocolours is a Filipino rock band formed in 1987, out of the remnants of a mid-1980s vocal group, in Manila, Philippines. Founding members were: Ito Rapadas (vocalist), Jimmy Antiporda (keyboard), Marvin Querido (2nd keyboards), Josel Jimenez (guitar), Paku Herrera (bass) and Nino Regalado (drums). At that time the pop music genre in the Philippines was dominated by solo singers. Neocolours filled in the pop music void with the release of their first album, ''Making It'' in 1988.
