Mindless Self Indulgence
Mindless Self Indulgence (often referred to as MSI) is an American electropunk band formed in New York City in 1997. Their music has a mixed style which includes punk rock, alternative rock, electronica, techno, industrial, hip hop, and breakbeat hardcore. History Between 1987 and 1996, Jimmy Urine recorded about 35 songs which varied in musical style, usually settling in an industrial/electronic punk style. These songs were recorded with himself and his brother, Markus Euringer in New York City using rudimentary equipment. Urine and his brother released an album titled ''Mindless Self-Indulgence'', featuring Steve, Righ?, on 'Bed of Roses', which featured songs performed in an industrial style akin to Nine Inch Nails. Their first live concert was on September 7th, 1995 during the self-titled album era. In 1997, Urine recorded a cover of Method Man's "Bring the Pain" that was made by merging six different styles of the same cover into one song. This became the basis for the ...

Webster Hall
Webster Hall is a nightclub and concert venue located at 125 East 11th Street, between Third and Fourth Avenues, near Astor Place, in the East Village of Manhattan, New York City. It is one of New York City's most historically significant theater and event halls, having hosted social events of all types since the club's construction in 1886 as a "hall for hire". Its current incarnation was opened in 1992 by the Ballinger brothers, with a capacity of 1,400, providing its traditional role as well as for corporate events, and for a recording studio.. A scholarly account of Webster Hall and its place in the wider history of rock music in Lower Manhattan was published in 2020. Webster Hall has been recognized as the first modern nightclub. On March 18, 2008, after a landmarks proposal was submitted by the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation, the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission designated Webster Hall and its Annex a New York City landmark.

''Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy'' is the second studio album by New York City band Mindless Self Indulgence released in 2000. The album is the follow-up to the album ''Tight''. This is the last studio album to feature Vanessa YT on bass guitar. The track listing on the back cover has all the vowels replaced with asterisks, even in those words that would not generally be considered offensive. They are also listed in alphabetical order. "Bitches" was the album's sole single release and prominently featured a sample of the opening riff to the Siouxsie and the Banshees song, "Happy House." The song credits Siouxsie Sioux and Steven Severin as writing partners due to the use of the sample. A single for the track "Planet of the Apes" was released as a promotional CD only. ''You'll Rebel to Anything'' is the third studio album by New York City band Mindless Self Indulgence released on April 12, 2005. The album was released outside of the US on November 5, 2007, in an "Expanded and Remastered" edition. On January 22, 2008, the "Expanded and Remastered" version, which features a reordered track list, was released in the US. Another variation of the Expanded and Remastered version was released which included four bonus tracks. The Expanded and Remastered version, both with and without bonus tracks, as well as the clean version of the album, can be streamed digitally.
