''Our Fathers'' is a 2005 American drama television film directed by Dan Curtis and starring Ted Danson, Christopher Plummer, Brian Dennehy and Ellen Burstyn. The screenplay was written by Thomas Michael Donnelly, based on the 2004 non-fiction book ''Our Fathers: The Secret Life of the Catholic Church in an Age of Scandal'' by David France. It was the last film directed by Curtis, who died soon after it was finished. Mitchell "Mitch" Garabedian (born July 17, 1951) is a lawyer known for representing sexual abuse victims in the Boston area during the Sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic archdiocese of Boston, Catholic priest sexual abuse scandal, including the cases against Paul Shanley, John Geoghan, and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston, Archdiocese of Boston. Jan Ladislav Rubeš CM (6 June 1920 – 29 June 2009) was a Czech-Canadian bass opera singer and actor. Life and career Rubeš was born in Volyně, Czechoslovakia, to Ružena (née Kellnerová) and Jan Rubeš. Not long after World War II, he graduated from the Prague Conservatoire and joined the Prague Opera House as a bass singer. In 1948, he won first prize at the Geneva International Music Festival and emigrated to Canada at the end of the year to pursue a career in a wider sphere.
