Our Color Green (The Singles)
''Our Color Green (The Singles)'' is the third extended play by the American post-hardcore band Glassjaw, self-released on January 1, 2011. The EP compiles five singles that were previously released throughout the later part of 2010. ''Our Color Green (The Singles)'' is the first release from Glassjaw since the 2005 B-sides EP ''El Mark'', and first release of original material since the 2002 studio album ''Worship and Tribute''. It is also the first release by the band as a four-piece, without Todd Weinstock. Background Following the tours in support of their 2002 studio album ''Worship and Tribute'', Glassjaw went on hiatus for a few years. The hiatus was brought about for several reasons including high stress derived from touring, personal differences among band members, and vocalist Daryl Palumbo's struggles with Crohn's disease. Palumbo was also beginning to write softer music that didn't fit Glassjaw's style, and started the dance-punk side project Head Automatica in 2004. ...

Postcard
A postcard or post card is a piece of thick paper or thin cardboard, typically rectangular, intended for writing and mailing without an envelope. Non-rectangular shapes may also be used but are rare. There are novelty exceptions, such as wooden postcards, copper postcards sold in the Copper Country of the U.S. state of Michigan, and coconut "postcards" from tropical islands. In some places, one can send a postcard for a lower fee than a letter. Stamp collectors distinguish between postcards (which require a postage stamp) and postal cards (which have the postage pre-printed on them). While a postcard is usually printed and sold by a private company, individual or organization, a postal card is issued by the relevant postal authority (often with pre-printed postage). Production of postcards blossomed in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. As an easy and quick way for individuals to communicate, they became extremely popular. The study and collecting of postcards is terme ...

Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence
''Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Silence'' is the debut album of American rock band Glassjaw, released on May 9, 2000 by Roadrunner Records. It was produced by Ross Robinson. Since its release, the album has received positive reviews from critics and has been cited as an influential album in post-hardcore, though in recent years there has been some controversy over the album's lyrical content, which was seen as misogynistic. Glassjaw has been rumored to discourage the purchasing of this album due to their acrimonious split from Roadrunner Records. Instead, they encourage people to download their music via file sharing software, such as Limewire. Robinson claimed that the label showed no interest in the band until he pushed to have them signed and showed little interest after. A remastered version of the album was released on March 24, 2009 with two bonus tracks: "Convectuoso" and a cover of Youth of Today's "Modern Love Story". Background and recording Glassjaw or ...

Latin Music (genre)
Latin music (Portuguese and es, música latina) is a term used by the music industry as a catch-all category for various styles of music from Ibero-America (including Spain and Portugal) and the Latino United States inspired by Latin American, Spanish and Portuguese music genres, as well as music that is sung in either Spanish and/or Portuguese. Terminology and categorization Because the majority of Latino immigrants living in New York City in the 1950s were of Puerto Rican or Cuban descent, "Latin music" had been stereotyped as music simply originating from the Spanish Caribbean. The popularization of bossa nova and Herb Alpert's Mexican-influenced sounds in the 1960s did little to change the perceived image of Latin music. Since then, the music industry classifies all music sung in Spanish or Portuguese as Latin music, including musics from Spain and Portugal. Following protests from Latinos in New York, a category for Latin music was created by National Recording Ac ...

Music Of Spain
In Spain, music has a long history. It has played an important role in the development of Western music, and has greatly influenced Latin American music. Spanish music is often associated with traditional styles such as flamenco and classical guitar. While these forms of music are common, there are many different traditional musical and dance styles across the regions. For example, music from the north-west regions is heavily reliant on bagpipes, the Jota (music), jota is widespread in the centre and north of the country, and flamenco originated in the south. Spanish music played a notable part in the early developments of western classical music, from the 15th through the early 17th century. The breadth of musical innovation can be seen in composers like Tomás Luis de Victoria, styles like the zarzuela of Spanish opera, the ballet of Manuel de Falla, and the classical guitar music of Francisco Tárrega. Nowadays commercial pop music dominates. Origins of the music of Spain ...

Deftones
Deftones is an American alternative metal band formed in Sacramento, California in 1988. They were formed by Chino Moreno (vocals, guitar), Stephen Carpenter (guitar), Abe Cunningham (drums), and Dominic Garcia (bass). During their first five years, the band's lineup changed several times, but stabilized in 1993 when Cunningham rejoined after his departure in 1990; by this time, Chi Cheng was bassist. The lineup remained stable for fifteen years, with the exception of keyboardist and turntablist Frank Delgado being added in 1999. The band’s experimental nature has led some critics to describe them as "the Radiohead of metal". Deftones have released nine albums since their inception. After the lineup settled in 1993, the band secured a recording contract with Maverick Records, and subsequently released their debut album ''Adrenaline'' in 1995. Promoting the album by touring exhaustively with other bands in the scene, Deftones managed to gain a dedicated fan base through wo ...

Chinese Democracy
''Chinese Democracy'' is the sixth studio album by American hard rock band Guns N' Roses, released on November 23, 2008, by Black Frog and Geffen Records. It was the first Guns N' Roses studio album since the 1993 covers album ''"The Spaghetti Incident?"'', and their first album of original studio material since ''Use Your Illusion I'' and '' II'' (1991). It was the first Guns N' Roses album without their longtime producer Mike Clink; instead, it was produced by singer Axl Rose and Caram Costanzo. It underwent a protracted recording process, delayed by personnel and legal problems, label interference and Rose's perfectionism. From 1994 to 1997, amid creative and personal differences, guitarists Gilby Clarke and Slash, drummer Matt Sorum, and bassist Duff McKagan left Guns N' Roses, leaving only Rose, keyboardist Dizzy Reed, and guitarist Paul Tobias. In 1997, Rose, Reed, and Tobias began work with guitarist Robin Finck and drummer Josh Freese, and in 1998 bassist Tommy Stin ...
