Oudemolen is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Drenthe Drenthe () is a province of the Netherlands located in the northeastern part of the country. It is bordered by Overijssel to the south, Friesland to the west, Groningen to the north, and the German state of Lower Saxony to the east. As of Nov .... It is a part of the municipality of Tynaarlo. Historically, the hamlet of Oude Molen was almost solely owned by the Linthorst Homan family, who have always held close ties with the towns population. Oude Molen Distillery
Oude Molen Distillery is situated in the Elgin Valley near the town of Grabouw in the Western Cape province of South Africa. The area is part of the Elgin Wine of Origin district and is home to several celebrated wine estates. History René Santhagens The distillery was established by René van Eibergen Santhagens, born in Batavia in 1864. He was an adventurer, explorer, cavalry officer and chemical engineer. René became passionate about wine and brandy after a stay in France on the estate of the Marquis de Pellerin Latouche in Cognac. It was here that he fell in love with the Marquis' daughter, Jeanne de Pellerin de la Fouche, whom he later married. In 1897, he answered an advertisement for a distiller in the South African Republic (later the Transvaal Province). Alois Hugo Nellmapius had obtained a concession from President Paul Kruger to erect a distillery near Pretoria. Simpelveld (; li, Zumpelveld ) is a municipality and a town in the southeastern Netherlands. It is part of the municipal cooperative unit Parkstad Limburg. Simpelveld is part of the ''Mergelland'', named after the presence of chalk (mergel), hill country popular with tourists. The Mergellandroute passes through the town. The Oude Molen ( English:''Old Mill'') or Molen van Houben (English: ''Houben's Mill'') is a watermill located on the Oude Molenweg 6 in Simpelveld, Netherlands. Build in 1774 along the Eyserbeek river, the watermill functioned as gristmill until the 1960s. During this time it was restored several times. In 1960 the mill stopped functioning, and a year later the land upstream was disowned by the local government. Currently it functions as housing. Awadh (), known in British historical texts as Avadh or Oudh, is a region in the modern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, which was before independence known as the United Provinces of Agra and Oudh. It is synonymous with the Kośāla region of Hindu, Bauddh, and Jain scriptures.
