Otunba Fatai Sowemimo
Otunba Fatai Sowemimo (born March 5, 1955) is a Nigerian businessman and politician. He hails from Ogun State, Remo-North. He serves as Chairman of Ogun State Water Corporation. Early life Fatai Sekoni Sowemimo was born on 5 March 1955 in Isara, son of Sekoni and Alhaja Muyibat Olabimpe Sowemimo. He attended Sapade Grammar School in Isara, then obtained a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Chicago State University. Career He is the managing director of Wemson Real Estate Management. Politics He was the Chairman of Ikenne Local Government. When Remo North Local Government was formed out of Ikenne Local Government in October 1996 by order of Sani Abacha, this move ushered in the creation of new local governments throughout Nigeria. Ogun State
Ogun State is a state in southwestern Nigeria. Created on 3 February 1976 from the former Western State. Isara-Remo
Isara-Remo is an ancient town in the present-day Remo North Local Government Area in Ogun State in Nigeria. It is the headquarters of the Remo North LGA local government area (LGA). It has an area of 199 km2 and a population of 59,911 at the 2006 census. It is the 6th largest town in Ogun state following Abeokuta, Ijebu Ode, ijebu Igbo, Sagamu and Ago Iwoye. Isara-Remo is almost exactly halfway between Lagos and Ibadan, very large metropolitan cities that have strongly influenced the history of Nigeria. Sani Abacha
Sani Abacha (20 September 1943 – 8 June 1998) was a Nigerian military officer and politician who ruled as the military head of state of Nigeria from 1993 until his death in 1998. He seized power on 17 November 1993 in the last successful coup d'etat in the military history of Nigeria. He was the Chief of Army Staff between 1985 to 1990; Chief of Defence Staff between 1990 to 1993; and Minister of Defence. Abeokuta is the capital city of Ogun State in southwest Nigeria.
