Ottilia Adelborg
Eva Ottilia Adelborg (6 December 1855 – 19 March 1936) was a Swedish children's book illustrator, comics artist and author and the founder of a school for lace making. A literary award, the Ottilia Adelborg Prize, was established in her honor in 2000, and there is an Ottilia Adelborg Museum in the municipality of Gagnef. Family and education She was born in Karlskrona, Sweden, the daughter of Bror Jacob Adelborg and Hedvig Catharina af Uhr. She was the granddaughter of Erik Otto Borgh (1741–1787), a Swedish Army captain who was ennobled under the family name Adelborg by King Gustavus III of Sweden. Her sister Gertrud was a women's rights activist, while her sister, Maria Adelborg, also became an artist. She showed early talent for drawing and studied at the Royal Academy of Art (1878–1884), and she later furthered her art education with trips to the Netherlands (1898) and Italy (1901) as well as France. Ottilia Borbáth (born November 26, 1946, in Târgu Mureș, Romania) is an actress who has appeared in many films as well as appearing in TV mini serials such as the '' Nightmare Years'' and ''The Phantom of the Opera''. Biography He was born in 1946 in Târgu Mureș, in the family of the Hungarian doctor Andor Borbáth (1912-2000) and his wife, Anna Balázs. He studied at the "Szentgyorgy Istvan" Theater Institute in Târgu Mureș (1964-1968). She has been working as an independent actress since 1995. She has been a member of Spirit Színház since 2019. Ottilia Sofia Littmarck (22 June 1834– 14 July 1929) was a Swedish actress and theatre director. She was a noted actress in Sweden in the late 19th century. Biography She was born in the parish of Jäder in Södermanland to inspector Johan Rylander and was the sister of the actresses Amanda Rylander (1832–1920) and Clara Björlin (1850-1905). She was active in the travelling theatres of Pierre Deland, director of the Deland Theater Company in 1833–1861 with her sister Amanda in 1857–68. Between 1873 and '74, she was the director of ''Södra teatern'' in Stockholm. Ottilia Reizman (russian: Оттилия Болеславовна Рейзман 11 September 1914 O.S. /24 September 1914 (N.S.)-22 April 1986) was a camerawoman and filmmaker. During World War II, she was one of only two women camera operators allowed on the front lines. Her work was recognized by the Stalin Prize twice, in 1949 and 1951. Early life Ottilia Boleslavovna Reizman, known as "Otya" was born on 24 September 1914 in Minsk, in the Russian Empire, now Belarus. In 1927, Reizman began working for Belarusfilm. She attended VGIK's camera school at a time when very few women were allowed to enter the field. As it was the only school which trained camera operators, competition for entrance was difficult and there were only a handful of women besides Reizman, including Antonina Egina, Galina Monglovskaya, Margarita Pilikhina and , who had been admitted. Odile of Alsace, also known as Odilia and Ottilia, born c. 662 - c. 720 at Mont Sainte-Odile), is a saint venerated in the Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church. She is a patroness saint of good eyesight and of the region of Alsace. Biography Odile was the daughter of Etichon (also known as Athich, Adalrich or Aldaric), Duke of Alsace and founder of the Etichonid noble family. According to the 9th century "Life of Odilia", she was born blind. Her father did not want her because she was a girl and handicapped, so her mother Bethswinda had her brought to Palma (perhaps present day Baume-les-Dames in Burgundy), where she was raised by peasants there.
