''Others'' (russian: Иные, Inye) is a 2024 Russian adventure fantasy miniseries directed by Vladimir Raksha about people with supernatural abilities. The project was produced by the film company Lunapark and Plus Studio. The premiere of the first two episodes took place in the Kinopoisk platform on January 25, 2024. New episodes were posted weekly on Thursdays. Plot Anna Smolina lives in Leningrad in the 1940s. In the city center, a girl suddenly throws away a truck and a tram with the power of her mind to prevent the death of her only brother Peter. A supernatural force awakens in Anna, which she has not yet learned to control. Soon, state security agencies, led by a young investigator Ivan Likholetov, and a mysterious foreigner, Maximilian Neumann, begin to hunt for the girl. Vuoksi
The Vuoksi (russian: Вуокса, historically: "Uzerva"; fi, Vuoksi; sv, Vuoksen) is a river running through the northernmost part of the Karelian Isthmus from Lake Saimaa in southeastern Finland to Lake Ladoga in northwestern Russia. The river enters Lake Ladoga in three branches, an older main northern branch at Priozersk (Käkisalmi), a smaller branch a few kilometers to the north of it, and a new southern branch entering further southeast as Burnaya River (Finnish: Taipaleenjoki), which has become the main stream in terms of water discharge. Since 1857, the old northern distributaries drain only the lower reaches of the Vuoksi basin and are not fed by Lake Saimaa. Kinopoisk (russian: Кинопоиск, a portmanteau of "cinema" and "search") is a Russian online database of information related to films, TV shows including cast, production team, biographies, plot summaries, ratings, and reviews. Since 2018 (as КиноПоиск HD) also a subscription video on demand streaming service with several thousand films, TV series, cartoons and including premieres and exclusive ones, has also been available. In 2013, Kinopoisk was purchased by Yandex, one of Russia's largest IT companies. In 2015, KinoPoisk underwent a total redesign. However, the new design was met with strong criticism by both users and the media for its inferior functionality and slower loading time. BUBBLE Comics (Russian: Издательство BUBBLE) is the largest Russian comic book publisher, founded in 2011. It is the only publishing house in Russia that produces original non-franchised comic books.
