Ota Petřina
Ota Petřina (4 June 1949 – 11 July 2015) was a Czech guitarist and songwriter. During his career, he primarily wrote songs for other artists, including Marta Kubišová, Helena Vondráčková, Václav Neckář, and Petra Janů. He was also the leader of Neckář's band Bacily. He released two solo albums, 1978's ''Super – robot'' and 1983's ''Pečeť''. Career In the early days of his musical career, Petřina accompanied Marta Kubišová, Václav Neckář, and Helena Vondráčková in the Rococo Theater Orchestra, from which the group Golden Kids was formed. He went on to write numerous other songs for the three musicians. After Golden Kids was banned by the communist regime, Petřina led Neckář's band Bacily, from 1971 until 1974. In 1978, Petřina released his debut album, ''Super – robot'', which he produced together with his friend, musician and lyricist Zdeněk Rytíř. Chinaski (band)
Chinaski () is a Czech pop rock group. In 2005, they won an Anděl Award, granted by the Czech Academy of Popular Music, and repeated this success in 2007. They have also repeatedly placed in the top ranks of the Český slavík awards. History The group was established in 1987 as Starý Hrady (named after the village of Staré Hrady) by Pavel Grohman and Michal Novotný (known professionally as Michal Malátný). Later, they modified their original name to Starý hadry (Old Rags). Longtime frontman Petr Rajchert and Jiří Seydler joined in 1989; both were classmates of Michal Novotný. In 1994, the band renamed itself Chinaski after Henry Chinaski, the protagonist in Charles Bukowski's novels, and released an album with the same name. In September 1995, the song "Pojď si lehnout" (Come to Bed) saw the band's first video, directed by Jan Hřebejk. Aleš Brichta
Aleš Brichta (born 9 August 1959 in Prague, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech heavy metal singer, songwriter, and artist. He is a founding member of the band Arakain, which he left in 2002. He now plays with Aleš Brichta Project. Biography In 1982, together with guitarist Jiří Urban and drummer Miroslav Nedvěd, Brichta founded the heavy metal band Arakain, which went on to become one of the most seminal metal bands in Czech history. Brichta recorded eleven albums with the rockers, but departed in 2002. In 2005, he founded his own group, ABBAND (Aleš Brichta Band), in which he was joined by former collaborators Mirek Mach (Arakain) and Karel Adam. Michal Prokop (born 1 April 1981 in Prague) is a Czech professional BMX and Mountain Bike Four-cross rider. Started his sporting career at the age of five, Prokop has claimed two World Cup circuit gold medals, and three World Championship jerseys (2003, 2004, and 2011) in the men's elite category, emerging him as one of the most successful fourcross riders in the sport's brief history. In BMX racing, Prokop has been named an eight-time Czech champion, and collected three gold medals to his career resume at the European Championships.
